The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, January 2 reveals Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will threaten Ian Ward (Ray Wise).
Also coming up, Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) will be holding Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) hostage. Plus, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will lean on Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian). And Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will seek Michael Baldwin’s (Christian LeBlanc) forgiveness.
Y&R spoilers tease Danny will tell Michael, Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E Bregman) and Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) how he managed to get to Genoa City. “There was only one place in this world that I was going to ring in the New Year and that was with the love of my life.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Danny Says A Lot Of People Love Him
Daniel will arrive and Danny will ask how he’s doing. “I wake up every single day to Heather’s empty side of the bed,” he’ll admit. But Danny will tell him it’s grief and he’s in the eye of the storm. “You have a lot of people that love you,” he’ll add. “Whatever you’re going through, I am with you, every step of the way.”
Over at Diane and Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) table, he’ll say he’s so glad 2024 is over. “And 2025 will be a fresh start for all of us,” Diane will reply. They’ll meander over to Michael and Lauren, who will wonder where Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) disappeared to. Jack will ask Lauren to dance and he’ll plead with her to be nicer to his wife.
As for Diane, she’ll sit down with Michael and say they have unfinished business to discuss. He’ll ask if it’s the fact that she faked a big fight with her husband right in front of him. Diane will apologize and say she hopes he’ll understand her motives. “We did it to save Kyle.” So, Michael will say he forgives her.
Meanwhile, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will yell at Ian to get away from Tessa. “What did you do to her?!” she’ll shout. But he’ll say he meant her no harm and was just trying to help her wife. “How did you know we’re married?” Mariah will reply. But he won’t get a chance to answer, because Nick and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will arrive.
“What the hell are you doin’ here?” Nick will ask Ian. “How the hell did you get out of prison?” Tessa will say Warren was just trying to help her. “I don’t know what this man told you but his name is not Warren, it’s Ian Ward,” Nick will say. Then he’ll ask how he broke out of prison.
The villain will say he didn’t, he was granted an early release for good conduct. “And I did become an ordained chaplain. I come in peace,” Ian will add. He’ll try to leave, but Nick will tell him if he takes one more step, he’d better learn to pray for real. “Faith, call the police.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Mariah Lashes Out At The Villain
Ian will tell Mariah he used an inhaler on her lovely wife. “You stay the hell away from us!” Mariah will shout at him, as she, Tessa and Faith head inside the restaurant. Tessa will tell Mariah she’s so sorry.
But Mariah will say she has nothing to apologize for. “I showed him a photo of Aria,” Tessa will reply. “I told him her name.” Tessa will ask what he did to her and she’ll flash back to when she woke up wearing a wedding dress, about to marry Ian. Faith will realize it’s well past midnight. “Mom should have been here by now, I wonder where she is,” she’ll say.
Outside the entrance, Ian will tell Nick he’s a changed man and is seeking redemption by helping others. “That is impossible, you are nothing but pure evil,” Nick will reply. So, Ian will reach in his pocket for something to show him his chaplain ID.
“Do you think any piece of paper is going to convince me you’re not Satan?” Nick will ask. “I know all of the horrible things you’ve done.” Then Faith will come out and say an officer is on the way. Nick will thank her and tell her to go back inside. “Wow, she has become quite the young woman,” Ian will tell Nick, who will grab him by the lapel.
“Listen to me,” he’ll say. “You don’t talk about her, you don’t even look at her. You made a big mistake, coming back here.” Nick will remind Ian that he terrorized his mother, shot his father and set Newman Tower on fire. A police officer will arrive and Nick will tell her Ian’s a threat to everyone in town and he wants him arrested.
Finally, Jordan will look out the motel room window. Then she’ll turn around and look down at the bed, where a passed out Sharon is lying, bound and gagged.
