The veteran actor has been on a roller coaster ride with the Y&R during the past couple of years. Davidson was taken off contract in September 2018 but was back in March 2019, after fans rallied the show for his return. However, he seemed to be taken off contract again and hasn’t been seen on the soap for about a year now.
Eric Braeden, who plays Victor Newman on the Y&R, has been an outspoken ally of Davidson’s. He often posts on social media that he wants to see both Paul and Cane Ashby (Daniel Goddard) back on the show full time.
