Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) actress Alyvia Alyn Lind’s new Netflix TV series Daybreak has been cancelled after only one season.
Lind, who plays Faith Newman on the Y&R, was one of the stars of the series, which premiered on October 24, 2019. She played Angelica Green.
“We learned last week that Daybreak will not be returning for a second season, Thank you for picking up what we put down, for running with it in all of your amazing, weird, monstrous ways and for being such an important part of this show and our experience making it” the show’s Co-Creator and Executive Producer Aron Coleite announced on Twitter.

“No one is as heartbroken as we are that we can’t share more of this ride with you. But we’re so grateful to have gotten to bring it this far.”

“NOOOOO! Daybreak is one of my favorite shows this year. It’s Mad Max set in a John Hughes high school and even has Matthew Broderick playing the (cannibal mutant) principal,” Adam Goldberg, creator of The Goldbergs and Schooled posted, reacting to the news.
“I love that @netflix takes big swings and not all break through the clutter… but this one REALLY DID.”

Other fans were also upset to hear news of the show’s demise.
“That’s a real shame,” a viewer commented. “You guys were telling a very fresh, different type of story & it’s often difficult to find a big enough audience for that kind of thing right out of the gate, but damned if y’all didn’t give it everything you could & produce something truly…”
