The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, January 7 reveals Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) will encounter Ian Ward (Ray Wise).
Also coming up, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will get disturbing news about Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Plus Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will promise to protect Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). And Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will make a startling accusation against Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) .
Y&R spoilers tease Billy will approach Phyllis at Society. She’ll tell him she’s letting everything go, regarding Sharon. However, Billy will say it sounds like she’s trying to convince herself. But Phyllis will tell him he should be cheering her on because she’s totally focused on them being a team to get Chancellor back.

Then Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will show up and say Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) just told her Sharon is missing. Phyllis will have no sympathy and remind them her rival’s done it before. Billy will say it seems convenient that Sharon’s missing, just as she’s let go of her rage. “Do you know what happened to Sharon?” he’ll ask Phyllis.
But Phyllis will say of course she didn’t do anything to Sharon. Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will arrive and Billy will join her. She’ll say she’s going to Paris for a couple of weeks and wants him to come with her. And Billy will say yes.
Back over at Phyllis’ table, she’ll ask Summer why people always assume the worst about her. Summer will make a face. “Not you too,” Phyllis will say. But Summer will say of course she doesn’t think she’s responsible for Sharon going missing.
Speaking of Sharon, Faith will thank Nick for staying the night with her at the cottage and bringing Christian along. And no, we won’t see him. Regardless, Faith will worry about her mom. Nick will tell her maybe she just wanted some peace and quiet.
“Mom was the one who wanted to celebrate at Society and then she didn’t show up,” Faith will say. She’ll wonder if Ian tampered with her meds. “He’s not here to make people nervous,” she’ll add. “He’s here for a reason – what if that reason is mom?”
At the ranch, Nikki and Victor will discuss Ian. “Evil monster, coming back to town,” Nikki will say. She’ll point out he fooled the prison system and the chaplain system. “I will deal with him,” Victor will say. But Nikki will say Ian’s not human and she’ll bring up the monstrous things he’s done.

Nick will show up and tell his parents Sharon is still missing. Then he’ll get a call from Chance. After he hangs up, he’ll tell Nikki and Victor they found Sharon’s car in the river. He’ll add someone saw the vehicle go over the bridge, the same one where Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) was found. But there’s no sign of Sharon.
Meanwhile, Ian will spot Mariah and Tessa out for a walk with their daughter at the park. He’ll approach Aria’s carriage. “This little angel must be Aria,” he’ll say, as Mariah blocks him from touching her child. He’ll say his soul is crying out to make amends. “And if you will give me just one moment, perhaps I can make that journey.” But Mariah will tell him he deserves to rot in a cell.
Ian will ask Tessa how she’s doing. She’ll say she’s better and she owes him her thanks. He’ll tell her it must have been God’s plan for him to be there to save her. But Mariah will say God doesn’t want anything to do with him.
“There’s always a plan Mariah, whether you want to accept it or not,” Ian will reply.” And it seems that we are intertwined until the end.” Mariah will say there’s no higher power guiding him. “I just wanna vomit, listening to you.” Ian will tell her some in his position would condemn the very nature of her family. “But I don’t hold with that opinion. There are different forms of love, are there not?”
Finally, a furious Mariah will ask Tessa to take Aria to another area in the park. She’ll say she wants to talk to Ian alone. Then she’ll put him on blast. “Do not talk to my wife and do not so much as look at my daughter!” she’ll exclaim. “Stay away from my family or I swear to God I’m going to kill you!”
