The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, August 21 reveals Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will tell Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) she’s not backing down.
Also coming up, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will plot. Plus, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will see an opening. And Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will invite Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) to dinner.
Y&R spoilers tease Billy will sarcastically tell Victor he wakes up every day hoping to be cornered by him. So, today is actually a big day for him. Then Victor will ask him to join him in the Jazz Lounge. He’ll tell Billy he wants to stop the rumors that he’s going to take Chancellor from him. He’ll lie and say he has too many things on his plate.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Victor Says There Are Rumors About Jill
Billy will say he wasn’t worried about it. But Victor will ask what prompted Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) to hand him the reigns. “Have you heard the rumors about her?” Victor will add. “She is well, isn’t she?” And Billy will lie and say Jill is fine.
Upstairs, Lily will tell Nikki that Billy just went downstairs with Victor. “Do you know what that’s all about?” But Nikki will say Victor is always unpredictable. Talk will turn to Chancellor and Nikki will say when Victor sold it to Jill, he certainly wasn’t expecting she’d put Billy in charge.
Lily will admit she wasn’t expecting it either. “Perhaps Victor is right, the two of you sharing the same position isn’t working out as well as it should,” Nikki will reply. “If anyone can work to destroy everything you’ve accomplished, it’s Billy.”
But Lily will say Jill and Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper) always made her feel so appreciated. “And I would never let Billy or anyone else tarnish her legacy.” Victor will come back upstairs and tell Lily that Billy’s waiting for her in the lounge. So, she’ll head downstairs and ask Billy about the press release.
However, he’ll say it’s not about the release. He didn’t think she’d show up otherwise. Lily will comment that she has a busy schedule. “Your schedule is about to free up,” Billy will reply. “I have decided this partnership is no longer going to work anymore.” Then he’ll tell Lily her services are no longer needed.
A stunned Lily will say he can’t expect her just to walk away. But Billy will tell her she wanted him to work behind closed doors while she became the face of the company. She’ll say it’s because he’s a proven liability. “That’s rich, coming from someone who actually did prison time,” Billy will reply. Lily will tell him she’s not going to let him get away with this. “Get ready for a fight, because I am not backing down.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Diane Shares Gossip About Kyle
Lily will remind him she chose to work with him over her own brother. “The entire corporate world thinks you’re a risk,” she’ll add. “I cannot imagine your mother would approve of this.” Then she’ll tell him she’s not going to let him take down Chancellor. “I’m the one stopping you from taking it down,” Billy will reply. “We’re done.”
At Victor and Nikki’s table, they’ll see Lily come back upstairs, sit down at a table, and put her hands to her head. “It seems that the chasm between Billy and Lily is becoming wider, as we speak,” Nikki will say.
At the Abbott estate, Claire will tell Kyle that Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell) has noticed the tension between him and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier). But Kyle will say he and Summer may be coming to some sort of agreement. Then he’ll ask Claire out to dinner at Society. He wants her to help him narrow down some houses his realtor wants him to look at.
Meanwhile, Diane will tell Jack that Kyle has been seen ducking into Newman Tower. Jack will say it backs up his suspicion that Victor’s the mystery investor. Diane will tell Jack it makes sense that Victor’s the mastermind. “If Victor is behind this, Kyle is going to get the help he needs, whether he wants it or not,” Jack will reply.
Finally, they’ll decide to go to Society for dinner. And when they arrive, they’ll spot Kyle and Claire. They’ll approach their table and Jack will ask Kyle how it’s going with Summer. He’ll coldly tell his father things are better. When Diane and Jack grab a table, he’ll look over at Kyle and Claire. “I think I figured out a way to uncover his connection to Victor,” Jack will tell his wife.
