The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, October 6 reveals Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will be stunned by Summer Newman’s (Allison Lanier) reaction to Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
Also coming up, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will lie and tell Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) he’s backing off Jabot. Plus, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) will try to lift Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) spirits. And Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) reception will begin.
Y&R spoilers tease Phyllis will spot Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) with Diane’s dress. “Please don’t tell me that’s what I think it is,” she’ll say to Lauren. And she’ll reply that it is what she thinks it is, but she’s not doing it for Diane, she’s doing it for Jack. “Just stick a knife in my back,” Phyllis will quip. But Lauren will tell her if she’s selling a brand new her, she needs to drop this Jack and Diane thing.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Phyllis Says He’s Sunshine And Roses
“By you doing this, you’re just cheering them on,” Phyllis will tell her. But Lauren will say Phyllis has no idea how hard it was for her. Then she’ll ask her friend to promise she won’t crash Jack and Diane’s reception. Phyllis will say of course she won’t, she’d dry heave if she had to look at Diane.
Phyllis will head to the Jazz Club and find Danny there, playing piano. When they sit together at the bar, she’ll start a pity party for herself. “Everyone in this town has made mistakes, but for some reason no one is willing to give me the benefit of the doubt,” Phyllis will tell Danny. “It makes me sad.” But Danny will point out he’s still here, Summer’s still here and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) is still here. “There are so many people who haven’t given up on you.”
He’ll tell her she needs to cut out the “woe is me” posturing and adopt a positive attitude. “Oh my God,” she’ll say. “You really are sunshine and roses.” But Danny will tell her to stop looking for someone else to fix her problems, she needs to start feeling good about herself. “And you’ll be amazed at how quickly people will start believing in you too.”
Meanwhile, Billy will spot Tucker at the GCAC and he’ll say he thought he would have left town by now. He’ll remind him of the information he has on him. “You also failed miserably when you tried to make it look like I embezzled money from the family company,” Billy will add. Tucker will admit he’s holding a bomb over his head and has forced him to back off. But he is clearly lying because later, Tucker will text Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver), telling her to reignite the fire with Kyle.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Jack And Diane’s Renewal
At the Abbott estate, Diane will worry because her dress hasn’t arrived yet. She bought it from Lauren and she’ll be concerned that Phyllis has sabotaged it somehow. Traci will remind her she’s on probation and won’t risk that to sabotage their day. Kyle will come downstairs and ask his parents if he can bring a date. They’ll ask if it’s Audra and he’ll say no. But he’ll decide it’s a little early to introduce someone new to his son. Jack will say he’s glad because he’d like him involved in their vow renewal and he’ll ask Kyle to officiate. He’ll say he’d be honored.
Then Chloe Mitchell (Elizabeth Hendrickson) will arrive with Diane’s dress and she’ll explain that Lauren had to go out of town. After Chloe heads out, Diane will go upstairs to change. Then Billy will arrive and he and Jack will trash Tucker. When Diane comes down in her dress, Jack will tell her she looks like an angel. And Billy will frown as he watches Jack kiss his bride.
Finally, the guests will start arriving and Kyle will thank Summer for taking care of Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez). She’ll say it was her pleasure. And when Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) arrives, Kyle will be disconcerted when he sees Summer light up, as she looks at him. Then he’ll notice her disappointment when Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) walks in and takes Chance’s arm. But does Kyle already regret letting Summer go?
