The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, August 12 reveals Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will demand that Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) cut ties with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver).
Also coming up, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will be angry with her ex. Plus, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will hesitate when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) asks him to go after Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Y&R spoilers tease Chelsea will meet up with Billy. She’ll tell him Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) is doing really well. Billy will ask how she’s doing and she’ll tell him a positive story about her son. Then Billy will mention he ran into Adam. “He thinks he’s going to set the boundaries on when I can see you and Connor.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Adam Asks Chelsea If She Will Tell Billy
Chelsea will say he doesn’t get a say in who she sees. Then Billy will apologize for his inquisition before they went to Baltimore. Talk will turn to Abbott Chancellor and Billy will say he’s going to publicly step back, but still be a driving force in the business. Billy will add that he wanted to say his reason was his mother’s condition but she shut him down. So, now he has to find a new reason to pretend to step away.
Meanwhile, Victor will walk into Adam’s office and be pleased to hear he’s doing what needs to be done. He’ll say he put him in charge because he gets things done when the time comes. “That time has come.” So, Victor will say he wants Adam to rock Billy’s boat until it sinks.
Adam will say he saw this coming but he’ll hesitate to do Victor’s bidding. He’ll tell his father it would be payback for the times Billy slammed him in the past. However, Billy has been supportive of he and Chelsea. “If I attack him, it’s going to affect Chelsea too and I don’t wanna do that.”
So, Victor will ask if Adam would like Billy to be his son’s stepfather. “I want you to help me advance my plans. Get it done son.” After Victor leaves, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will arrive. “What dirty work is Victor asking you to do this time?” she’ll ask. When Adam says he can’t tell her, Sally will ask if he still trusts her.
Then Chelsea will show up and Sally will leave. Chelsea will ask Adam why he told Billy to stay away from her and will remind him it’s not up to him who she sees. “When I saw him he was in the same paranoid head space,” Adam will explain. But Chelsea will say Billy’s right to be paranoid, she is hiding something from him. “I know that you wanna tell him,” Adam will reply. “Are you going to?”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Summer Wonders Why He’s Defensive
At Crimson Lights, Summer will be hopeful as she meets with Kyle. But Kyle, not so much. Summer will say she’s there in good faith because Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell) senses the tension between them. And she’ll remind him they used to actually like each other.
“You asked Victor to reach out to me,” Kyle will reply. “I think this is a new low for you.” Once again they’ll argue and he’ll accuse her of asking Victor to intimidate him. But Summer will be confused and say Victor doesn’t have any power over him.
Kyle will admit he wants things to get better for Harrison’s sake. And he’s ready to create a safe place for their son, if she is. So, Summer will say if that were to happen then she needs him to cut Audra out of his life. “This is unbelievable,” he’ll reply. “Can you please be reasonable?”
He’ll remind Summer he runs Glissade with Audra. But she’ll say he should force Audra out. “I am not going to let you run my life,” he’ll reply. Then Kyle will offer her an alternative, they can both drop their custody suits. So, Summer will ask why his head practically exploded when she asked him to cut off his association with Audra. “Kyle, what are you not telling me?”
He’ll say forcing Audra out of Glissade is not an option. “Why are you so defensive about this woman?” she’ll reply. “Can we keep the custody agreement as it is or not?” Kyle will ask. And once again Summer will say not if Audra is in his life. “See you in court,” he’ll tell her and storm out.
