Young And The Restless Scoop May 9: Diane Tells Jack She Needs Time Apart – Phyllis Tells Summer She’s Being Unreasonable – Victor Taunts Jordan

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, May 9 reveals Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) doesn’t know how to get past Jack Abbott’s (Peter Bergman) betrayal.

Also coming up, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) won’t be thrilled by Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) suggestion. Plus, Jordan (Colleen Zenk) will try to make a deal with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). And Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will put Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) on the spot.

Y&R spoilers tease Victor will see Jack at Society and snub him. Jack will walk over to the bar and ask how Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is doing. But Victor will tell him it’s none of his business. “She had to call the damn paramedics to save your ass.”

Y&R Daily Scoop – Jordan Wants Out Of Victor’s Dungeon

After his drink, Victor will head to his dungeon to visit his captive. He’ll sit down in his armchair and grin at Jordan. “I see you followed my suggestion,” he’ll say. “How many more bottles do you think I need to bring you, before you die, before the world is rid of you?”

Then Jordan will walk up to the bars and tell Victor to let her out and she’ll angrily throw her boot at him. “You screwed up, didn’t you?” he’ll reply. “You walked right into my trap.” She’ll tell him to gloat all he wants. “Let me out of here and put me in an actual prison,” Jordan will say.

At the Abbott estate, Kyle will ask his mom what happened when his father was gone all night. “It’s out there, dad and Nikki they’re just friends, right?” he’ll ask. But Diane will say he didn’t cheat with Nikki, what he did was even worse.

So, she’ll tell Kyle everything that happened. “Your father risked everything,” Diane will say. “How could he have put us through that and taken that chance?” But Kyle will defend his father. “Was it the best choice, absolutely not, but I guess I can see it came from the right place,” Kyle will tell Diane. “I understand his motivation to save Nikki.”

However, Diane will point out they could be planning his father’s funeral right now, because he had to be a hero for Nikki. So, Kyle will ask if her anger is coming from jealousy. And Diane will ask him if he always feels the need to choose the contrary position to hers. “It’s like you won’t even try to see my perspective.”

She’ll accuse her son of always trying to undermine her, especially at the office, and Jack will walk in. Kyle will tell him he knows what he did but understands why he had to take such desperate measures. After he leaves, Jack will tell Diane he asked her not to tell Kyle. “Don’t expect me to keep your secrets when you almost kill yourself,” she’ll reply.

Then Diane will tell her husband the whole thing has made her question everything they have. “What you did was an outright betrayal of my trust,” she’ll add. “I don’t know how I’m going to get past this. I need some distance for both of our sakes.”

Young And The Restless Scoop – Summer’s Furious At The Sight

Meanwhile, Summer will tell Phyllis Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell) keeps asking about Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) and Kyle’s encouraging it. “I was told Claire’s not to blame for any of this,” Phyllis will reply. But Summer will say she doesn’t understand why Kyle has so much sympathy for her.

“All I’m saying is Jordan was the psycho here,” Phyllis will reply. “She would have found her way here, with or without Claire.” However, Summer will say they’re all perfectly okay with Claire poisoning everyone in the family. “How does somebody get to that point?” she’ll ask her mom. “How are we supposed to know that she can’t get there again?”

Summer will add she’s afraid Kyle’s going to let Claire into Harrison’s life. Phyllis will say she understands where she’s coming from but maybe she’s being a bit overprotective. “Everybody has forgiven her, people that you love and trust.” However, Phyllis will agree with Summer when she says Kyle wants Claire to be Harrison’s new nanny.

At Chancellor Park, Claire will tell Victoria she doesn’t need to be so worried about her and she wants her mom to go back to work. But Victoria will say the past few months have given her perspective and she wants to spend time with her.

Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) will arrive and shortly after, Kyle and Harrison will show up. “Claire, hi!” Harrison will shout and rush over to hug her. They’ll head over to feed the ducks and Victoria will ask Kyle if maybe he could give Claire a try as his son’s new nanny. But Kyle will say as much as they need a nanny, Summer needs to be completely comfortable with it.

Finally, Summer and Phyllis will show up, and they’ll see Claire and Harrison running over to Kyle. And Summer will watch them, with fury in her eyes.
