The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, August 1 reveals Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) will give Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) a reality check.
Also coming up, Devon Winters (Bryton James) will tell Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is gunning for Chancellor. Plus, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) plans to leave town for awhile. And Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) isn’t afraid of Victor.
Y&R spoilers tease Lily will tell Devon she feels like he knows something and she’ll ask what it is. Devon will say if Billy screws up it could leave Chancellor open to someone swooping in. So, Lily will ask who’s coming after them. “Victor,” Devon will admit. He’ll say The Mustache told him to advise her to get out while she still had a chance.

Then Lily will make a startling admission – she’ll say she’s playing Billy. “He has all of these grand ideas,” she’ll add. “So, the only way I had to protect the company was to go along with his plan.” Devon will say he thinks Victor’s hoping she tells Billy, which will put the pressure on him and force the inevitable to happen.
“Victor thinks he’s five steps ahead of me but I’m a step ahead of him,” Lily will tell Devon. She’ll head to Abbott Chancellor and tell Billy that Victor may be coming after them. But Billy will say he’s not afraid of Victor. “Well maybe you should be,” Lily will reply.
Meanwhile, Sharon will be surprised when Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) comes to her door. She’ll say she went out for some fresh air earlier and there’s no reason for him to be worried. “Were you alone?” he’ll ask and Sharon will flash back to her fantasy of kissing him.
“No one was with me, at least not in person,” she’ll tell him. Sharon will say she’s just been distracted. But Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will beg to differ. “I think you’re all making far too much of a…what was I saying?” Sharon will reply.
They’ll all sit down and Nick will ask if she’s still taking her meds and she’ll shake her head no. “I didn’t like how they were making me feel.” Nick will say is the important thing is they need to get her back on track. He’ll ask what it’s been like for her. “I’ve been seeing Cassie, it’s like a dream that comes to life,” she’ll reply. “Nick, it’s as though she’s really here. And then she’s gone.”
Faith will blame herself. “I pushed you to talk about her, to think about her.” And Mariah will ask if she thinks of Cassie when she looks at her. “I felt you pull away from me recently,” she’ll add. “How can you not hurt when you look at me?” But Sharon will say she knows Mariah’s not Cassie and loves her for who she is.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Cameron Tells Her She Can’t Hide
Nick will say they need to take her to her doctor and get her meds sorted. “I don’t think that’s going to be enough Nick,” Sharon will reply. “I think I need to get away from here for a little while.” Sharon will say she needs to find a peaceful place to clear her mind, and she’ll pick up her wedding photo.
“I need to deal with some things I’ve been avoiding, like Rey,” she’ll say. “I miss him so much.” Nick, Mariah and Faith will agree it’s a good idea. Sharon will embrace her daughters and tell them she’s going to come back from this, better and stronger.
Then she’ll say she’s going to call her doctor but she’d like some privacy. So, Faith, Mariah and Nick will head out for coffee. “Your mother’s pain over Cassie is more than just bringing up her name,” Nick will say, not realizing Daniel is nearby and listening. “It’s a night she’s never gonna forget, neither will I.”
Back at the cottage, Sharon will sit in front of her laptop, looking up places she can travel to. Then she’ll turn her head and see Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). “You can try to run from what’s happening Sharon,” he’ll tell her. “But you can’t hide.”
Finally, Daniel will tell Summer he’s always on her side, even if they disagree. “You want to help, I need a house,” she’ll reply. So, Daniel will say he’ll help her find the perfect kid friendly home. Then she’ll tell him she’s hopeful about getting sole custody.
“I just think maybe you should lower your expectations,” Daniel will reply. He’ll say Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) may be a jerk, but he’s also a good father. Plus, he thinks she could reignite a full scale Abbott versus Newman war. An angry Summer will reply that she’s just trying to protect her son. “From what, a trip to Paris?” Daniel will ask and Summer will storm off.
