The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, August 22 reveals Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will come clean with Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson).
Also coming up, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will put Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) on the hot seat. Plus, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will quiz Adam about Glissade. And Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will attempt to make peace with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Y&R spoilers tease Adam will run into Kyle at Chancellor Park. “I came here to think,” Adam will say. “But it looks like this spot’s already taken.” He’ll turn to leave, but Kyle will ask him to wait. He’ll say he’s surprised by all the great publicity Newman Media has given Glissade.

“Are you managing to keep up with Audra Charles, your partner?” Adam will reply. But Kyle will ask what’s up with Adam’s attitude. “If you like the free press, why don’t you just thank me and keep going?” Adam will say. “Stop being such a condescending ass.”
The two men will spar over who is more entitled. “Your only qualification at Jabot was you last name,” Adam will quip. Kyle will say Adam’s one to talk. Plus, he’ll say he doesn’t need his father anymore. “You are so damn lucky to have Jack as your father,” Adam will tell him. “And being a father yourself, you’d think you’d recognize that.” Then Adam will get a message and head out.
Kyle will return home and Diane will ask if they can put all their bitterness behind them. “All of these apologies, they don’t mean a damn thing,” he’ll tell his mother. But Diane will say she and Jack love him and would do anything to end this battle. “Mom, you know you screwed me over,” he’ll reply. “Where is the love in that?”
As for Adam, he’ll meet Jack at the Jazz Club. “I’m looking for information and hoping you can help me, whatever you tell me will be held in the strictest confidence,” Jack will say. So, Adam will Jack what’s on his mind. “You. Victor. Newman Media,” Jack will reply. “And my son.”
But Adam will say Jack’s asking him to betray his own father. He’ll add that he told Victor he would not use Newman Media to go after Jabot. Then Jack will ask if all the promotion of Glissade was a coincidence, and if Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is behind it.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Sally Asks If He Slept With Chelsea
“It’s not that much of a leap to think it’s possible,” Adam will confirm. “Whatever is ahead, you have to know I will do everything I can to prevent it and protect you.” Jack will thank him, saying it’s nice to know he has a friend he can count on.
Meanwhile, Sally will sit at a table at Crimson Lights, working on designs. Then she’ll look up and see Billy standing there. He’ll join her and she’ll say she doesn’t feel like being at home. Billy will tell her Chelsea needed a break.
“I believe we deserve some honesty,” she’ll reply. “Billy, we both know the one answer that would explain all of this.” But Billy will say there’s still a chance they could be off base. So, Sally will point out Adam and Chelsea were once in love. “So what if Connor Newman’s (Judah Mackey) brought all those feelings back?” she’ll add. “What if it led to that one night?”
Sally will return home and Adam will try to embrace her. But she’ll shrug him off. She’ll tell him she’s tired of skirting around whatever is up with he and Chelsea. Sally will add she loves him and deserves the truth. “Did you sleep with Chelsea in Baltimore?”
Finally, Billy will stick around at Crimson Lights and Chelsea will walk in. She’ll say she’s sorry things have been so weird between them. But Billy will say whatever’s weighing on her, they can deal with it together. “I betrayed you Billy, I betrayed your love, your trust,” she’ll reply. “I did something horrible and I hate myself for it.”
