The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, January 3 reveals Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will face off about Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd).
Also coming up, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will share an awkward moment. Plus, Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) will provoke Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). And Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will make a promise to Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).
Y&R spoilers tease Victoria will talk to a staff member at the hospital about Claire. “She seems to be shutting down, shutting people out, it scares me,” she’ll say. She’ll walk into Claire’s room and sit by her bed. “I just want you to know that you’re not alone,” she’ll tell her sleeping daughter. “We’re here for you, I promise you that. You’re safe here with us.” Claire will open her eyes and sit up. “Happy New Year Claire,” Victoria will say.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Danny Questions His Son About Heather
Meanwhile, Lucy Romalotti (Emily Brooks O’Briant) will ask where her mom is. Daniel will say she left after midnight. Then he’ll flashback to their kiss. When he pulled away, Heather said kissing him felt so natural. But he reminded her he was with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) now. Lucy will break him out of his daze and he’ll offer to make her pancakes for brunch. So, she’ll text Heather and tell her to come over.
Heather will show up and Daniel will be surprised to see her. It’ll be an awkward moment and Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) will notice. They’ll have breakfast together and Danny will closely watch the interactions between his Daniel and Heather. Afterwards, he’ll ask his son to explain. “Whatever’s happening here Daniel, you have to straighten it out and fast.”
At Crimson Lights, Phyllis will ask Christine if she had a good evening with Danny. “We had a spectacular night, one that even you couldn’t ruin, no matter how hard you tried,” Christine will reply. But Phyllis will say she’s sorry she feels threatened by her.
“You got your life back, but instead of enjoying that success you’re humiliating yourself by going after some guy that doesn’t even want you?” Christine will reply. “You’re delusional if you think Danny will ever think of you other than a mistake he couldn’t get rid of.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Phyllis Tells Her Life Is Short
The rivals will continue arguing until Summer interrupts them. “Seriously? Is this the way that you two want to start the New Year?” she’ll ask. Christine will head out and Summer will ask what’s going on with Danny. Phyllis will tell her she kissed him. She’ll add that until Danny tells her otherwise, she’s keeping her options open. “Let let him decide who he wants.” Summer will say she hasn’t even thought about him since she’s been alive. “Something just made you decide to want him now.”
Phyllis will talk about love and Summer will ask if she’s fallen in love with Danny. But Phyllis will deflect and say maybe she was talking about and her Chance. “When you have a real connection with someone, you can’t deny it, Summer,” Phyllis will tell her daughter. “Life is so short, you don’t get brownie points somewhere because you didn’t go after the thing you really wanted.” She’ll ask what happened to her. “You used to be so brave.” Then Phyllis will get up, kiss her daughter on the forehead and leave.
However, Summer won’t realize that Sharon was sitting on the patio just behind them, listening to their every word. So, Sharon will walk out. “I guess I could just smile and pretend I didn’t overhear you or your mother,” she’ll say to an embarrassed Summer, who will apologize. But Sharon will tell her even if she hadn’t overheard, it’s obvious she enjoys being around Chance. Then Summer will ask her a question and say she doesn’t have to answer if she doesn’t want to. “But I am wondering, are you in love with Chance?”
Sharon will tell her it’s a bit of a personal question and Summer will say she realizes it’s none of her business. “Thank you for understanding,” Sharon will reply. But Summer will say she wants to know where things stand between them. “We don’t have any expectations, which is perfect for me right now because it’s all I can handle, it’s all that I have room for right now,” Sharon will reply.
Finally, Chance will walk into the coffee shop and notice Sharon and Summer. “Good morning ladies,” he’ll say. Sharon will glare at Summer and walk over to the serving area. “Is everything all right?” Chance will ask. But will he finally figure out that Summer has feelings for him?
