Young And The Restless: Chance tells Summer he'll return to being a cop

The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, September 9 reveals Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will consider going back to police work.

Also coming up, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will play hardball with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Plus, Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will come to an agreement. And Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will celebrate a deal.

Y&R spoilers tease Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will approach Devon Winters (Bryton James) at the Jazz Club. Not surprisingly, Devon will look down his nose at Audra. And Nate will tell him he and Audra are seeing each other.

At Crimson Lights, Kyle and Summer will say they can’t believe they’re about to sign the custody agreement.  Then they’ll head out to meet with their lawyers, offscreen. Afterwards, they’ll order champagne at the GCAC. Kyle will ask if they can agree to never do this again. Then Audra and Nate will walk in and Summer will glare at them.

Y&R Daily Scoop – Lily Wants Confirmation In Writing First

Meanwhile, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will meet up with Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) at Society. Lauren will be surprised to hear that Nikki backed off Newman Media. But Nikki will admit she and Victor are working on something secretly. All she’ll say is it will give her a new level of power and responsibility.

Y&R Scoop: Lily has information for Victor

Lauren will be worried. She’ll say Victor just called Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) in for a meeting. So, she’ll say she hopes Victor isn’t pulling Michael into something shady yet again. And Nikki will look highly concerned.

At Newman Enterprises, Lily will show up, saying she wants to move forward with their plan, as quickly as possible. She’ll tell Victor she has what she believes is the key to Billy’s downfall. She’ll say he wants to promote Abbott-Chancellor with a deal that’ll take the company to the next level. But Lily thinks it’ll make it sink like a rock.

Victor will ask if Billy Boy could actually pull it off. But Lily will say he’s planning the entire launch around this one deal. So, Lily will suggest someone else could beat him to the punch. So, The Mustache will want to know the name of the company.

But Lily will say she’ll need confirmation first, in writing, that she’ll be running Chancellor. Then Michael will walk in and Victor will say he’ll think about her proposal and hopes they’ll come to some agreement. “I have a proven track record and I just want back what’s rightfully mine,” Lily will reply and leave.

Michael will accuse Victor of leading Lily on. “You and I both know the job she thinks she’s getting is going to Nikki.” So, he’ll ask Victor if he’s playing with fire. But Victor will say there’s nothing for him to worry about.

Young And The Restless Scoop – Michael Points Out The Obvious

Michael will point out the obvious – that Nikki’s never worked at Chancellor before. So, Lily could be a real asset to Chancellor. “Lily’s been the boss and she’s excelled at it,” he’ll add. “Do you really think she’d accept a secondary position?”

Y&R Scoop: Michael talks to Victor

At Abbott-Chancellor, Billy will tell Chance he’s pumped about a deal he just made. “Congrats,” Chance will say. But he won’t exactly be enthusiastic. And he’ll repeat his demand to be co-CEO. “Right now, we’ve got bigger fish to fry,” Billy will reply. He wants to table the request until after the launch.

But Chance will say he’s not leaving Billy’s office without an answer. “In this moment, the answer is no,” Billy will say. He’ll remind him Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) put him in charge. “She didn’t put you in charge, that’s the reality.” A disappointed Chance will say he has his answer then.

Billy will head to the Jazz Club and tell the bartender he’s celebrating. Devon will appear and ask him if he’s celebrating prematurely. “Cause kicking Lily out of Chancellor is the biggest mistake you’ve ever made in your life.” But Billy will say he’s only going in one direction and that’s up. “Up in flames Billy,” Devon will reply.

Finally, Chance will meet up with Summer and tell her he’s walking away from Chancellor. “I offered Billy an ultimatum.” Summer will ask if he’s talked to Jill yet and he’ll say he’s going to. “It’s just a shame, I know you had such high hopes for this,” she’ll add. So, she’ll ask if he knows what he’ll do next.

Chance will say he does, but he’s not sure she’s going to like it. “You’re thinking about going back to police work?” she’ll reply. And he’ll say yes. “I could see myself going back to the force, it’s who I am.” Summer will say she’s not thrilled and his mom will be even less so, but she gets it. Then she’ll smile and say she finds it ironic that he’d rather be chasing bad guys and dodging bullets than working with Billy.
