The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, October 9 reveals Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) will receive an unexpected late night visitor.
Also coming up, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will take Sharon out to dinner. Plus, Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) will make an admission to Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle). And Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will ask Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) if he’s blaming Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei).
Y&R spoilers tease Cole and Victoria will sit at the coffee shop with Claire Grace (Hayley Erin). But when Victoria mentions Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), Claire will make a face and say she has to get going. So, Victoria will wonder if telling her daughter her past romantic woes may have something to do with it.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Lucy Asks Chance If He’s Blaming Her Father
“Why do you think that your love life would sour Claire on her own?” Cole will ask. Victoria will say she’s had her heart broken and doesn’t want to see it happen to their daughter. Cole will say if he had it his way, her heart would never be broken again.
At Society, Nick will tell Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) he’s taking Sharon out. Mariah will say her mom seems to be back to her old self and held a Cassidy First meeting today. After Nick leaves, Tessa will say she’s glad things are looking up, because she has some bad news, their nanny quit.
So, Mariah will text Claire, who will arrive shortly after. She’ll say there’s something they want to talk to her about. “We thought, since Harrison is in school, you might want to be Aria’s nanny,” Mariah will say. Claire will tell them she’s flattered but needs to think about it.
Meanwhile, Chance will arrive at Daniel’s place and say something surprising came up when they tried to trace Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) phone. “We discovered someone went to a lot of trouble to make sure the phone’s whereabouts couldn’t be detected.” He’ll add the last place the phone’s location was detected was in their apartment.
So, Chance will ask if he can question Lucy. Daniel will hesitate but Chance will say he won’t push and will stop if it’s too much. Daniel will go and get Lucy. Chance will tell Lucy he and Heather were close once and she was one of the kindest people he ever met.
Then he’ll ask Lucy why her mom would want to leave town and she’ll mention how Sharon went off on her and Heather in public. “Sharon blamed me for the crash but my mom wouldn’t let her,” she’ll add. “She defended me to Sharon and told her to back off.”

Chance will ask if she ever witnessed any arguments between her parents about a possible move. So, Lucy will ask if he’s blaming her dad. “Is Lucy right, are you making a case against me?” Daniel will ask. But Chance will say he’s just trying to get an idea of Heather’s mindset.
At Sharon’s cottage, she’ll eagerly anticipate her date with Nick. Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will come downstairs and tell her mom she looks gorgeous. Sharon will show her earrings Nick got her years ago. When Faith goes upstairs to grab her a bracelet, Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) appear. He’ll tell Sharon she needs to finish the job. But Sharon will say tonight is about reconnecting with Nick.
Then Nick will arrive and tell Sharon she looks amazing. They’ll head to the club and Nick will recognize the earrings. Sharon will say putting them on reminds her of the first time he took her out to dinner. “Can you believe our kids now are older than we were then,” he’ll reply.
After they finish dinner, Nick will say he hasn’t seen Sharon this relaxed in a long time. She’ll admit tonight was a little emotional for her, being with someone who shares so much history with her. “You were my rock, you’re still looking out for me, and Faith.”
Nick will bring her home and she’ll tell him it felt like old times. Then she’ll kiss him goodnight and he’ll kiss her back. She’ll ask if she took things too far and he’ll say no. He’ll walk inside and they’ll head to the couch. But suddenly Cameron will appear. “Oh for God’s sake!” he’ll say. “Spare me your first love fantasies.”
Finally, there’ll be a knock on the door and Sharon will be sure it’s Nick. But she’ll open it and find Chance standing there. He’ll say he knows it’s late and Sharon will ask him what his visit is about. “Heather Stevens,” he’ll reply.
