The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, September 5 reveals Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) wants to do what’s right for his family’s legacy.
Also coming up, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will confide in Billy. Plus, Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will listen in as Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) speaks with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford). And Devon Winters (Bryton James) will invite Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) to move in to the Chancellor estate.
Y&R spoilers tease Mariah will meet up with Devon at the GCAC restaurant. She’ll explain she almost had to force Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) to go on a Marchetti fashion shoot. So, Devon will encourage her to lean on him in her wife’s absence.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Devon Shows Mariah Sign Language
Mariah will admit every time she looks at her daughter she wants to burst into tears. But Devon will tell her to stay positive. They’ll discuss advances in hearing aids and he’ll teach her some sign language. As they’re leaving, Devon will invite Mariah and her daughter to stay with he and Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) while Tessa’s away. And she’ll take him up on it.
Meanwhile, Phyllis will tell Daniel she didn’t know what to expect when he asked her out for a drink. He’ll ask her about her new job and she’ll admit she has no idea what’s going on. “I heard it’s collapsing.” Daniel will say maybe it’s for the best, the thought of her working with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) was not a pleasant one.
Phyllis will change the subject and ask how Lily’s doing. “She’s great,” he’ll say. “Are you great?” Phyllis will ask. “I’m not so sure,” he’ll reply. Phyllis will wonder if seeing Heather again stirred up old feelings in her son. She’ll encourage him to make amends with her and doesn’t think Lily would have a problem with it. Plus, Phyllis will say she now has a “special affection” for Heather.
Speaking of whom, Heather, who was eavesdropping, will walk in and Phyllis will ask her to join them. She’ll ask how long she and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will be staying in town. Heather will tell her only for a few more weeks. Phyllis will inquire if Heather she gets homesick for Savannah or Genoa City when she’s in Europe. “Both, I guess,” she’ll respond. When Heather departs, Daniel will tell his mom not to play matchmaker, he’s with Lily now. “So do not try and make anything happen, that would just be a huge mistake.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Jack Cherishes Diane More
Finally, Lily will run into Billy at Crimson Lights. She’ll ask how he is and he’ll say never better. But she’ll suspect something’s up and he’ll admit it is. “I think I could say the same about you,” Billy will add. Lily will tell him Heather’s in town for a couple of weeks. She’ll say she thinks Heather regrets what happened with Daniel and may want him back.
Talk will turn to Billy’s situation at Jabot and he’ll say he could use someone to confide in, especially someone he can trust. He’ll tell her Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) left Jabot, after Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) presented her with her shares as a wedding gift. And now she and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) are competing with the family company. Billy will also confide that his brother cherishes Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) more than he does their father’s company.
“He gave her an executive level position, without even consulting his co-CEO,” he’ll continue. “And I wouldn’t put it past Diane that she’s not coming for my job.” However, Lily will say Jack wouldn’t go for that. “If Diane wanted it, he’s not seeing straight when it comes to that woman,” Billy will reply. Then Lily will ask if he wants to take control of Jabot away from Jack and Billy will say he’s not planning a coup. “But I do believe I’m the right person for the job, to run Jabot.”
