The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, September 5 reveals Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will try to talk some sense into his brother.
Also coming up, Lily Winters (Christel Kahlil) will get an unpleasant surprise when she meets with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott). Plus, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will make a demand of Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). And Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will ask out Claire Grace (Hayley Erin).
Y&R spoilers tease Kyle will tell Claire they need to revisit their arrangement, since Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell) will be in school all day. So, Claire will ask if he’s firing her. “Absolutely not,” he’ll say. Kyle will add that he just hopes he’s not holding her back, and Claire will realize he heard about Nikki’s job offer.
So, Kyle will be relieved when she assures him she won’t be taking a job at Newman anytime soon. “If you did leave, Harrison wouldn’t be the only one who misses you in his life,” he’ll say. “I would too.” Then he’ll ask her out to a movie.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Chance Asks If He’ll Be The Next One Fired
At Abbott-Chancellor, Billy will tell Chance he’s had enough of his opinions. And he’ll suggest he put them in a suggestion box. “You fired Lily seemingly without cause, I can’t help wondering if I’m next,” Chance will reply. Billy will say after what’s happened to him in the last month, he doesn’t trust anybody. “So, why don’t you tell me what you want?”
Chance will say he thinks Billy’s bitten off more than he can chew, and he’s spoken to Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) about what’s going on. “There’s no way I’m going to sit back and let you drive this company off a cliff.” He wants to protect his own family legacy, and Billy will ask how he’s going to do that.
“By being your co-CEO, effective immediately,” he’ll reply. Billy will ask if it’s a joke. But Chance will say he’s proved himself. “You say you couldn’t trust Lily, you can trust me,” he’ll add. “I’m perfectly content to be the guy who has your back.” So, Billy will say he’ll think about it.
At Newman Enterprises, Nikki will check in with Victor. “I can confirm Billy Boy brought his trademark chaos to the company,” he’ll say. Victor will add that Lily wants him out as much as they do. But unfortunately, her position has changed. “Billy fired her.”
Nikki will be outraged. “Oh my God, we knew he was reckless but what was he thinking?” Victor will say thinking requires a brain and Billy doesn’t have one. Victor will say Lily wants to help bring Billy down and wants her position back. “Then we have a problem,” Nikki will reply.
But Victor will tell her there’s nothing wrong with making Lily believe she’ll get what she wants. Nikki will say she doesn’t think lying is the way to go. Victor will tell Nikki it’s up to her where she wants to place Lily. “I will lay out my terms and she can either say yay or nay,” he’ll add.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Victor Wants Inside Info From Her
Meanwhile, Lily will see Jack at Society’s bar. He’ll ask how Billy’s doing over at Chancellor. “You haven’t heard?” Lily will reply. “He fired me.” So, Jack will apologize for Billy and offer to speak with his brother. Lily will say he doesn’t need to on her behalf.
So, Jack will ask why she decided to stay on with Billy. Lily will say she put a lot of time and effort into Chancellor and felt she could reign in his impulses. “Usually, his heart is in the right place, I just don’t know where his mind is at.”
Lily will say maybe Billy will listen to him. “I really believe he has made himself, and Chancellor, vulnerable with this move.” Jack will tell Lily he’s going to voice his very strong opinion to Billy. Then he’ll leave and Lily will get a call from Victor, asking if she can come to his office.
She’ll arrive at Newman arrive and Nikki will tell her Billy was a complete idiot to let her go. Lily will thank Nikki and turn to Victor, saying she assumes they have a deal. “Not quite,” Victor will reply. First, he needs to know what kind of inside information she has.
Finally, Jack will head to Chancellor. Billy will assume he’s there because he spoke with Lily. “Are you really this committed to self-sabotage?” Jack will ask his brother. He’ll add that he needs Lily, he can’t do it alone. “I’m not going to listen to anyone who is going to tell me I am doomed to fail!” Billy will shout. “Jack stop – get out of my office now!”
