The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, August 8 reveals Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will be suspicious of Adam Newman’s (Mark Grossman) motives.
Also coming up, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will witness yet another argument between Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Plus, Billy’s idea will surprise Lily Winters (Christel Khalil). And Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) will be confused by Chelsea Lawson’s (Melissa Claire Egan) statement.
Y&R spoilers tease Connor will tell his parents he had a panic attack in the middle of the night and it triggered his OCD. But as scary as it was, he was able to deal with it. Adam will say he’s proud and tell Connor he deserves a treat. When he heads to the counter, Adam and Chelsea will be relieved their son got through his first night at home.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Kyle Texts His Lawyer In Front Of Summer
Chelsea will ask Adam how it was being home with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). “I wasn’t there for her,” he’ll reply. “I forgot the one year anniversary of losing Ava.” Adam will say he feels guilty, even worse than before. “I know the feeling,” Chelsea will respond. She’ll say she’s glad she hasn’t seen Billy face-to-face, because he’s definitely suspicious.
“Who’s suspicious mom?” Connor will ask, as he comes back to the patio. “About what?” And a panicked Chelsea will make up a lie about work. They’ll all chat a bit more and Connor will say he’s tired. So, Chelsea will bring him back upstairs to rest.
At the Abbott estate, Claire will arrive. She’ll ask how Harrison Locke’s (Redding Munsell) feeling and Kyle will say he’s better. But it wouldn’t have happened if he’d stayed in town or been allowed to bring his son to Paris. “So, you’re saying this is all my fault,” Summer will say, as she walks in the room.
An uncomfortable Claire will head upstairs, to bring Harrison some chicken soup she made, and Summer and Kyle will immediately start arguing. Kyle will tell his ex-wife he’s going to contact his lawyer and ask him to accelerate the custody hearing. “I want this over with.” He’ll say he knows who she is, he’s seen it before.
“I don’t trust you Summer, that’s why I came home, that’s why I’m staying.” Then Claire will come back down and give him a look. Summer will leave and Kyle will warn Claire things are going to get worse. But he’ll admit he let his anger get the better of him and he’ll thank her for putting him in check.
Meanwhile, Billy and Lily will have a discussion about all the baggage he brings to Abbott Chancellor. Billy will say he had a little more faith in what they were building than she does. “When you told me I’ve gotta walk away, it pissed me off,” he’ll admit.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Billy Admits That He’s A Liability
Billy will tell Lily he could just as easily ask her to walk away. “That’s your new plan?” Lily will ask. “You want to get rid of me?” But Billy will say he was angry and he’ll admit he’s a liability. However, he’s not going to walk away from his family legacy. He’ll say he’ll work behind the scenes as a silent partner, as she asked him to.
“Victor’s not going to come after you the same way he’d come after me,” he’ll tell her. So, Lily will ask how they’re going to announce it. Billy will say Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) will have to sign off on it. “We go public with her condition, it would make sense that I would step away from the company to take care of my mother.”
However, Lily won’t be so sure that Jill will agree to it. Billy will admit his mom will hate it but he thinks she’ll be on board with the plan. Then he’ll ask Lily if she’s willing to go along with it and she’ll say he needs to talk to Jill first.
Finally, Billy will walk into Crimson Lights and run into Adam, who will tell him Connor and Chelsea had a rough night. He’ll ask if Adam’s implying he shouldn’t go upstairs and say hello. “I would prefer it if you didn’t,” Adam will reply.
“So, you would prefer I stay away from Connor and Chelsea, for how long?” Billy will ask. “Days, weeks, months, maybe forever?” But Adam will say until they’re all comfortable with Connor being back home. Plus, he doesn’t want Billy around her if he’s going to continue his cross-examination. Adam will add that it’s upsetting Chelsea.
However, Billy will tell Adam he doesn’t think he’s the one causing distress to Chelsea. “You standing here warning me, it lights it all up in neon,” he’ll add. “I’m gonna find out what happened, you can count on that.”
