The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, August 31 reveals Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will make his decision about the future of Newman Media.
Also coming up, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) plots revenge after being kicked to the curb. Plus, Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will stand her ground. And Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be stunned by her husband’s decision.
Y&R spoilers tease Victor will tell Sharon, Adam and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) they’ve made a mess of everything and he’s going to make some changes. Nick will immediately blame Adam. “All I did was stake a claim to what was rightfully mine,” Adam will say. But Victor will say he wants to hear their vision of the company. “Would that have any impact on your decision?” Nick will ask. “Probably not,” Victor will reply.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Sharon’s Going To Hire An Attorney
Adam will have a daydream that Victor has appointed him CEO of Newman Media, with Sally Spectra (Courtney hope) as his COO. He’ll also imagine Victor will decide that Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) has been let go, with Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) demoted to COO. His vision will end with Nick sucker punching him.
Then Sharon will admit to Victor that the three of them do not work well together. “Every time we make some progress together, something happens that blows it all up,” she’ll say. So, she’ll tell Victor she wants out. “Your plan was to strip it down anyway.” Victor will remind her it’s just business. But Sharon will say SNA would become a cog in the Newman machine, which is not what she signed up for. “Please let me take Kirsten and I’ll run it on my own.”
However, Victor will refuse. “I am not just going to roll over and let you decide what this company should be,” Sharon will tell Victor. She’ll also say she’s going to get an attorney and fight him. “What is the matter with you?” Nick will ask Victor, after Sharon leaves. “She protected your granddaughter with her own life, that’s the only way she got this company in the first place, and now you turn around and do this?”
He’ll ask Victor to tell them what the plan is, just as Nikki arrives. Victor will ask her what she thinks of the brothers working together. “You are one of the most ungrateful people I have ever known,” she’ll say to Adam, adding he acts like he’s entitled to everything. “Grow the hell up Adam.” And she’ll tell Nick if he doesn’t like the way things are going, he needs to stop complaining and do something about it.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Nikki Will Consider The Offer
Nikki will turn to Victor and say she’ll be angrier with him than she’s ever been if he puts Adam in charge. “I do not intend to place Adam in a position of power,” Victor will tell Nikki. “Once we have successfully folded SNA into Newman Media, you will be the CEO,” he’ll say, adding Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will be her COO. He’ll tell Nick he’s going to assume Nikki’s co-CEO position at Newman Enterprises.
“Once again, I’m left standing, when the music stops,” a devastated Adam will say. “I should have known that you’d pull something like this.” But Victor will tell him to stop acting like a child. “You could have texted me, you could have emailed me, but I had to come in here and perform for you,” Adam will reply. “That is world class cruelty.” Then he’ll tell his father he’s going to regret this.
After Adam leaves, Nikki and Nick will tell Victor they need to think about the positions he’s offered them, although Nick will encourage Nikki to take the CEO job. Then he’ll head to Crimson Lights, as Sharon’s leaving a voice mail for Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc). She’ll tell Nick she’s not backing down and Nick will tell her Victor fired Adam.
Finally, an angry Adam will return home and pour himself a drink. “You want a war,” he’ll say. “I’ll give you a war.”
