The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, September 20 reveals Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will tell Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) he sees a future for them.
Also coming up, Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) will grill Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Plus, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will seek Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) advice. And Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will share a secret with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).
Y&R spoilers tease Sharon will be shocked that Mariah is in Madison. “I’m outside your door knocking right now, where are you?” she’ll ask. “I’m not there,” Sharon will reply. “I got a little dizzy, went out to take a walk and get some air before the meeting.”
Mariah will say she can handle the meeting and Sharon will lie and say they have to reschedule. “Sorry honey, I will see you at home, love you, bye.” Then she’ll hang up. But Mariah will call her back and ask if she’s mad at her.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Cameron Tells Sharon She Needs To Focus
Sharon will say of course not, she’ll see her at home later. Mariah will suggest they meet up and go for a walk. “Mariah stop it!” Sharon will shout. “You came to Madison to check up on me, didn’t you?!” Then she’ll add she never went to Madison. She knew what they were up to. “I did the only thing I could do, I ran.”
Sharon will say she’s going off the grid for a little while. “Don’t try to track me down either,” she’ll add. “I will reach out when I’m ready.” Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) will tell her she made a smart move. “Now you need to focus. We need to get to work.”
Meanwhile, Victoria will continue harping about her Billy proposal. “Not gonna happen,” Victor will repeat. “It’s about business, it’s a business decision.” But Victoria will remind him the man he wants to destroy is the father of his grandchildren.
Nikki will say she agrees with Victor on this. “I understand you have warm feelings for Billy but you can’t always bail him out.” Then Nick will walk in and say Sharon’s really struggling. “She’s lashing out at Daniel and Lucy.” He’ll say every time she’s around them it sets her off.
“She’s at the point now where she’s actively avoiding us,” Nick will add, saying he’d like some advice. Nikki and Victoria will ask how they can help. And Nick will say he wants to go to Sharon’s doctor. But Victoria will say the doctor won’t help him. Nick will tell her he just wants to go to her doctor with all the facts.
He’ll thank them for listening and head to the elevator. Then Nick will get a call from Mariah. She’ll say Sharon never went to Madison. “She lied to us all and I don’t know where she is but she’s planning on disappearing, ” Mariah will add. “And I’m scared, I’m really really scared.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Billy Asks Adam What He’s Done
At Society, Adam and Chelsea will discuss their son’s suggestion that they should be together. “We just have to make sure we don’t give any more false hope to our son,” Chelsea will say. Then Billy and Phyllis will walk in. “Hi Billy,” Chelsea will say. Billy will brusquely say hi and walk over to the bar.
“That was awkward,” Adam will comment. He’ll wonder if this is how it’ll be every time they run into him. “I cheated on him twice, both times with you,” Chelsea will reply. “I don’t think he’ll ever forgive me.”
Phyllis will join Billy at the bar and she’ll ask if Chelsea dumped him for Adam. He’ll say no and tell her to mind her own business. But Phyllis won’t let it go and Billy will end up telling her Adam and Chelsea slept together in Baltimore. Phyllis will say maybe they got closer because of everything that happened with Connor Newman (Judah Mackey).
Finally, Adam will ask Chelsea if she’s thought about what Connor said about them getting back together again. “No, I’ve been too mortified and wracked with guilt.” Adam will say he feels the same way. Chelsea will suggest they talk to Connor so he doesn’t get his hopes up.
Then Adam make a stunning admission. He’ll say he lied about them as a couple. “It did enter my mind, it’s in there, I can’t deny it.” He’ll say there was more going on that night in Baltimore and he hasn’t been able to shake it. “Not just as a family unit for Connor,” Adam will continue. “As a couple like we used to be. Better than we used to be.”
But Chelsea will panic and tell Adam she’s not having this conversation. She’ll also be angry that he’s talking about it with Billy sitting over at the bar. Chelsea will take off and Billy will confront Adam. “So what’d you do now, you son of a bitch?” he’ll ask him.
