The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, July 16 reveals Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will become the head of Newman Media once again.
Also coming up, Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will ask Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) if Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is her secret investor. Plus, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will decide to practice some tough love on Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). And Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will wonder what their father is up to.
Y&R spoilers tease Kyle will tell his parents they should be happy for him, he’s left the nest and is going to succeed on his own. But he’ll be surprised when Jack says he’s right, it’s Kyle’s chance to shine on his own terms. “I wish you nothing but success.”
Jack and Diane will head to Jabot and Diane will remind her husband Kyle is using his new job to get revenge. “As difficult as it is, I think we have to back off, completely,” Jack will reply. “He needs to succeed or fail on his own terms.”

Meanwhile, Nate will tell Audra last night was incredible and ask if he’s allowed to lobby for more “fun” in their future. “As long as you follow the ground rules, I don’t see why that can’t happen,” Audra will reply. Then Victor will approach and congratulate Audra on heading up Glissade.
“I’m sure with your talent and skill it’ll be no time at all before Glissade blows Jabot out of the water,” he’ll say. “And at the same time, take Jack Abbott down with it.” A confused Nate will ask Audra what that was about. Audra will ask what the big deal is.
So, he’ll ask her if Victor is Glissade’s secret investor. But Audra will deny it and say there’s a mutual respect between her and Victor. Nate will say maybe there’s respect on her part. “First sign of provocation, he’ll turn on you and you’ll be dead in the water,” he’ll add. “Because that autonomy you crave so much, that’s only for Victor.”
When Kyle shows up, Nate will leave. “Oooh, is this a thing?” he’ll ask Audra. But she’ll tell him her personal life is none of his business. Audra will also confront him about telling Victor to cut her loose. Kyle will say he’s accepted working with her. Then she’ll say she’s leaving for Paris in the morning. “What time are we leaving?” Kyle will ask.
At Adam’s place, Chelsea will say she had a meeting with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and felt so guilty she almost told her about what happened in Baltimore. “What?!” Adam will reply. “We didn’t set out to hurt them, they never need to know.” Then he’ll say that’s not all he’s dealing with, Victor wants him to run Newman Media.
“Newman Media was always your baby, so I’m sure the idea of this is quite appealing,” she’ll reply. But he’ll say Victor’s playing games and gunning for someone he cares about. Chelsea will tell him he should sit this one out. But he’ll say at least at Newman Media he’ll have some autonomy and maybe he can talk Victor out of it.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Victor Is Sick Of All The Doubts
“Please be careful, whenever you tangle with him you end up getting hurt.” Chelsea will tell him. “If he finds out you’re trying to protect the person he’s trying to take down, it is a very risky game.”
So, Adam will walk into Newman Media and tell Victor he accepts his offer, but there’s a condition, he’s not going to do any mud slinging against Jack or his family. “I’m taking this job because I can do it, to lead Newman Media and not be a hired gun.” And Victor will agree to Adam’s conditions.
At Society, Victoria will tell Nick she’s returning to Newman Enterprises. Suddenly, their phones will ping, it’s a text summoning them to Victor’s office. Once they arrive, he’ll tell them Adam will run Newman Media and Victoria will join Nick at Newman Enterprises.
“You’re sidelining mom to make room for Adam,” Nick will say. But Victor will remind them Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) is in outpatient treatment and needs to focus on that. However, she’ll eventually return to Newman Media.
Victoria and Nick will ask why he’s doing this. “It makes me think there’s more to this than you’re telling us,” Nick will say. But Victor will tell them all they need to know is things are falling into place. “I’m sick and tired of the doubts, we should be celebrating!” Victor will shout. “Enough! Meeting is adjourned.”
Finally, the siblings will head to the hallway and Nick will tell Adam since he decided to take the position at Newman Media temporarily, he must know what Victor’s agenda is. So, he’ll ask his brother to fill them in. “Agreed, what is dad up to?” Victoria will ask. But what will Adam tell them?
