The General Hospital (GH) scoop for the week of January 4 hints Ava Jerome (Maura West) will be devastated by some terrible news.
Also coming up this week, Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) will bond with someone unexpected while Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) disagrees with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright). Plus, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) will turn to Martin Gray (Michael E Knight).
Spoilers tease Laura will ask Martin for help. She wants to take Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) down once and for all and thinks Martin may give her the ammunition to do it. “I need you to give me leverage against our brother,” she tells him in the GH weekly preview. Will Martin agree to help her?
General Hospital Scoop – Dante Falconeri Becomes Sam McCall’s Confidante
Speaking of Cyrus, Jason will disagree with Carly’s decision to get involved in the mob war. After being confronted by Cyrus about Florence Gray (Annie Abbott), Jason will stay mum about the whereabouts of the mobster’s mother.

Jason will find out that Carly is holding Florence hostage. With Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) missing, she feels like it’s her responsibility to keep her family and Jason safe. “We needed leverage, now we have it,” Carly will tell a stunned Jason.
Over with Sam, who will vent to Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Rumor has it, the old friends will become closer during the coming months and may even become an item. But for now, he’ll become her confidante as she shares her dreams and her fears with him.
General Hospital Scoop – Ava Jerome And Alexis Davis Grieve Over Julian Jerome
Finally, Ava will be heartbroken, when she learns about the death of her brother. She’ll also feel guilty that she didn’t help Julian Jerome (William deVry) when she had the chance. Spoilers indicate Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) will do his best to comfort her, but there’ll only be so much he can do.
It won’t be until Ava runs into Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) who is, as usual, sloshed out of her mind. But she’s also grieving over the loss of Julian. Will these two ladies bond over their common grief?
