Bold And The Beautiful News: Hope Logan And Steffy Forrester

The Bold And The Beautiful’s (B&B) Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell recently dished about his Daytime Emmy win, the baby Beth storyline and bringing in a new man for Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood).

“I go into it thinking that we won’t get the win, but we did and it was spectacular,” Bell told TV Insider, regarding his win for Drama Series Writing. “I want to thank…the whole cast. They all amaze me every day. And I want to thank the whole production team. They’re just spectacular.”

Bell also discussed which episodes were on the reel he submitted to the Daytime Emmys for consideration. The first episode was when Hope Spencer (Annika Noelle) thought her baby had been stillborn on Catalina Island.

Bold And The Beautiful Scoop – Bell Talked About Fan Frustration With The Storyline

“For the second, we fast-forward eight months or so and the act paid off,” Bell said. “Hope discovers that baby Beth is alive on the rooftop of Forrester Creations, aka the TV City studios!” The showrunner also discussed fans’ frustration with the narrative and how he learned the art of the slow burn storyline from his father, the late William J. Bell.

“He loved nothing more than having a secret and getting the fans to the edge of their seats, to a point of frustration and meltdown,” Bell said. “But you read the passion in what they write in their comments. That’s what it’s all about. Their passion is saying: ‘I can’t take this anymore! This is ridiculous!'”

Bell believes fans’ comments on the baby Beth storyline indicated people were heavily attached to the story. “That gives you all the more reason to keep it interesting and find new adventures and involve other characters, taking the story to new levels.”

Bold And The Beautiful Scoop – Will Steffy Forrester Finally Remove The Portrait?

He also praised Noelle for her incredibly moving performances and said he was looking forward to Hope’s next storyline. “Her emotion and everything she does comes from a place very deep within her. She becomes Hope. There’s such truth in her performances.”

Finally, Bell promised a new man was on the way for Steffy, something fans have been demanding for years. “She’ll have a period of time where, in fact, quite a few men will be after her – as they should be. She’s spectacular and unique. I’m thrilled to say that this next chapter will be very much about Steffy. I always feel comfortable putting drama in the hands of Jacqui Wood.”

Spoilers tease when the show returns, Steffy will admire her new photo. Will she finally remove the huge portrait of she and Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) from her living room wall?
