The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, September 18 reveals Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) will tell Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) he’s not backing down.
Also coming up, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will pitch an alternative. Plus, Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) will confide in her mom about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). And Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will realize Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) sold him out.
Y&R spoilers tease Billy will make a call about the launch party, just as Phyllis walks in. She’ll say she’ll have to buy a new dress for the event. Billy will ask what she’s doing there. “I’m here to give you exactly what you want,” Phyllis will reply. “I’m in, sign me up.”
A surprised Billy will admit he didn’t expect this. But he’ll tell Phyllis that HR will write up a fair deal for her. Then Billy will say he has a deal in the works and she can help him lock it down. And Phyllis will question the Odyssey 7 purchase and ask if he’s just trying to prove something to his mom.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Phyllis Finds Out That Lily Betrayed Billy
“This is a sound business decision,” an annoyed Billy will reply. However, Phyllis will say when he’s in a corner, he makes rash decisions. “Does this have anything to do with Lily, the fact that she’s gone?” she’ll press. “Now you’re running Chancellor, maybe you have something to prove to Jill.” Billy will admit his mother doesn’t know he fired Lily.
He’ll add that Lily betrayed him. “I trusted her but she was playing me the whole time.” Phyllis will say the level of deceit is just devious. Then she’ll ask what he needs her to do and he’ll tell her to set up a meeting to get the deal done.
But when she returns, Phyllis will say the owner hedged. “Something must have happened to change his mind,” she’ll add. “I spoke to him about the meeting and he was all nervous and shady.” She’ll wonder if Victor got to him. Billy’s eyes will widen and he’ll say only two other people knew about it and one of them was Lily. “Do you really think that Lily sold you out to Victor?” Phyllis will ask.
Meanwhile, Cole will walk into Victor’s office and immediately face his wrath. “You openly defied my wishes for you to not see my daughter anymore and I don’t appreciate it,” The Mustache will tell him. However, Cole will tell Victor he can’t control his life and he cares deeply for Victoria.
But Victor will say his feelings don’t mean a thing to him. He’s seen Victoria fall in and out of love with a bunch of losers. “We had a huge wedding in Italy, with a schmuck who turned out to be a who knows what!” Victor will add. “You’re next in line.” But Cole will tell him he’s not backing down and he’ll leave.
At the park, Claire will tell Victoria she’s “beyond excited” that she and her dad seem to be getting back together. Victoria will say she wants things to work out, but she’s being cautious, she’s been disappointed too many times in the past.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Claire Tells Victoria Kyle Kissed Her
Talk will turn to Claire and Kyle and Victoria will want details. “We kissed,” Claire will gush. She’ll add now that Summer and Kyle have reached a viable custody agreement, she’s considering working for her grandmother. Then Cole will arrive and arrange to have dinner with Victoria later.
Back at Newman, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will walk in and tell Victor she just saw Cole. She’ll admit she’s noticed romance between him and Victoria. But Victor will say he told Cole he doesn’t approve. He’s not the right man for their daughter. “Why not, he’s Claire’s father?” Nikki will say. “Unless there’s something you haven’t told me.”
So, Victor will say he’s thinking of Ashland Locke (Robert Newman), followed closely by Billy Boy Abbott. Then Nikki will ask what happened with Lily and he’ll fill her in on Billy planning to buy Odyssey 7. “I intend to blow his plan to smithereens and Billy Boy won’t know what hit him,” he’ll add, just as Victoria walks in.
She’ll ask what he’s planning against Billy and say she’s come up with a solution that will protect her ex-husband’s reputation. We offer to buy him out,” she’ll add. “The money he receives from the sale he can use to buy his own entity, that way we all win.”
Finally, Victor will remind his daughter that Billy humiliated her many times. “Why do maintain allegiance to a man who’s a loser?” And he’ll tell her it’s not happening. But Victoria will say she thinks she can convince Billy to sell. “What’s done is done, my plan’s in motion, no returning!” Victor will reply.
