The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, August 26 reveals Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) and Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will be badly injured in a car accident.
Also coming up, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will reach out to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor). Plus, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will discuss their daughter. And Nick, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will get disturbing news.
Y&R spoilers tease Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will tell Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) she looks fantastic, when she shows up for their date at the Jazz Club. She’ll toast him, saying he’s a wise man. Summer will add that thanks to his advice, she and Kyle had their first civil conversation in weeks.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Kyle Tells His Father He’s All About Diane
Upstairs, Jack will approach Kyle at the GCAC bar, and he’ll ask if they can talk. So, Kyle will agree. He’ll say he wanted nothing more than to be the next Jack Abbott. “But the man I’ve always admired,” Kyle will add. “You say you’re all about family, but lately, you’re all about mom.” Jack will ask to have a drink with him, but Kyle will lie and say he has an early meeting. Kyle will run into Summer and Chance as he’s leaving and they’ll agree to have their lawyers draw up a new joint custody agreement.
At Sharon’s cottage, she’ll eventually admit to Faith she’s been seeing visions of Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby). But she’ll say it’s been in her dreams. Of course, Faith will be concerned. “What bothers me is that Cameron is basically haunting you.” Sharon will say she keeps telling him to go away. “There’s also a chance the nightmares are just a side effect to me adjusting to my new meds.”
But she’ll tell her daughter to go out with her friends and have fun. Then Faith will get a text, and roll her eyes when she sees it’s from Lucy. “I’m in trouble. Can you help me?” Sharon will ask what’s wrong. Faith will say it’s Lucy and she’ll show her mom the text. Then she’ll get another text. “Plz come get me. Can’t call parents.”
So, Sharon will encourage Faith to go get her. She’ll return to the park and find Lucy sitting on the ground, a half empty bottle of vodka beside her. “Really, Lucy?” she’ll ask, disgusted. “Tell me what happened? How did you even get a bottle of booze?” Lucy will say she snuck into a bar and stole the bottle when the bartender wasn’t looking. So, Faith will say she’s going to call her parents. But Lucy will beg her not to. “Please can you please just drive me home?” she’ll ask.
At the coffee shop, Nick will spot Phyllis. She’ll say she’s worried about Summer and the whole custody battle. Nick will say maybe Kyle and Summer will find some common ground. But Phyllis will remind Nick Kyle’s been off the rails lately and he’ll agree.
He’ll say Kyle had always been so steady and reliable. Phyllis will say Jack has changed too. “It’s Diane Jenkins,” she’ll add. “Because of her, and they haven’t changed for the better.” Phyllis will remind Nick that Diane conned Jack into marrying her and fired Kyle.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Daniel And Heather See Their Daughter
Back at Sharon’s, she’ll get a phone call. “What? An accident?” she’ll gasp. And she’ll say no, no, no, no, no to herself, as she rushes out of the cottage. Then she’ll call Nick. “Faith was in an accident,” he’ll tell Phyllis, and take off, just as Jack walks in.
At Society, Heather will tell Daniel that Lucy has been distant with her lately and she’s worried. Daniel will say she checked in awhile ago and he thinks she realizes they’re trying to help her. But he also hopes she doesn’t act out.
“One night of being an out of control teenager, it changed my life, and it cost Cassie hers,” he’ll comment. Then Heather’s phone will ring, and she’ll be in shock. “Lucy’s in the ER, she’s had an accident,” she’ll tell Daniel. “Come on, we have to go.”
Finally, Nick and Sharon will arrive at the hospital. Nick will ask an ER about Faith. “Both young women were unconscious,” he’ll tell Nick. “Unconscious?” Sharon will ask, horrified. Then Heather and Daniel will arrive. “Faith was in the car too?” he’ll ask Sharon and Nick.
The EMT will approach them and Nick will ask what happened. “The car skidded off the road and crashed into a wall,” he’ll reply. Sharon will cry out, putting her hand to her mouth. But she’ll also pull open a curtain, revealing her unconscious daughter lying on a hospital bed. Daniel and Heather will pull open another curtain and find an unconscious Lucy. But will history repeat itself? Or will both Faith and Lucy survive?
