The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, August 5 reveals an awkward Lucy Romalotti (Lily Brooks O’Briant) will start drinking at the concert.
Also coming up, Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) and Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) will celebrate their first anniversary. Plus, Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) and Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) will be concerned about their daughter. And Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will have bad timing.
Y&R spoilers tease Jack will crack open some champagne and toast his wife. “Happy Anniversary, my love,” he’ll say, as they clink glasses. Diane will say she can’t believe it’s already been a year, it’s gone by so quickly. Then the pair will shower each other with gifts.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Harrison Tells Summer Everything’s Wrong
At Crimson Lights, Summer and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will hang out with Harrison Locke (Redding Munsell). He’ll say Summer is his bestie and Phyllis will tell him not to be afraid to tell everyone that, including judges. Summer will get a call from Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) and Phyllis will press the decline button.
Harrison will head to the jukebox, looking for songs that start with the letter M. But he’ll return shortly afterward with a forlorn look on his face. Summer will ask him what’s wrong. “Everything,” he’ll reply. So, they’ll end up at the Abbott estate and he’ll run upstairs to get his lucky bunny.
Summer will apologize to Diane and Jack for the interruption. Jack will ask if she’s still planning on seeking sole custody of Harrison. Summer will say she knows Kyle loves Harrison, but she thinks he loves himself more. Harrison will return and he and Summer will head out.
At Sharon Newman’s (Sharon Case) cottage, Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster) will tell Sharon Lucy’s a nice enough kid. But she also comes off as lonely and slightly desperate. She’ll add that Lucy invited her to a concert but she’s going to help Sharon pack.
“I don’t want her to think we’re actually friends from this,” Faith will say. “I feel terrible saying this mom but she is so clingy, I’m starting to think she’s a little obsessed with me.” However, Sharon will tell Faith not to overthink it. “Just go and have fun. And feel good for making an awkward young lady feel accepted.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Shouldn’t Have Ditched Her Father
Meanwhile, Lucy will lie to her parents and say Faith begged to go to the concert with her. But Heather will say she shouldn’t have ditched her father. Then Lucy will be horrified when her mom looks for wristbands online so she and Daniel can go. “Don’t rob me of the one chance I have to make a friend,” Lucy will beg.
So, Heather will eventually give in. But she’ll tell her no drinking, smoking or vaping. After Lucy takes off, Daniel will admit that their daughter’s been struggling. She even lied about the going to the pool party. And Heather will be highly concerned.
Finally, Lucy and Faith will arrive at the fairgrounds for the concert and Lucy will second guess every comment she makes. When Faith heads to the restroom, Lucy will tell herself it’s time to relax. She’ll reach into her purse and pull out a clear plastic bag with a lid on it. Lucy will unscrew the lid and then look around to make sure no one’s watching. But will she take a swig?
