Bold And The Beautiful Poll: Is Sheila Carter Really Dead?

The Bold And The Beautiful (B&B) scoop reveals the death of Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) last week sent shockwaves around the soap world. But is she really gone, or is the show pulling a fast one?

Since the moment paramedics pronounced her deceased, theories have abounded about Sheila’s fate. Of course, we all saw Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) plunge a butcher knife into her chest and watched as she bled out onto the carpet.

Almost immediately after Monday’s B&B episode ended, both Soap Opera Digest and TV Insider announced that Sheila was officially a goner. The articles included exit interviews with both Brown and Wood, lamenting the demise of the villain.

But seriously B&B, fool us once, shame on you. Fool us twice, shame on us. This is the same soap that killed off Macy Alexander (Bobbie Eakes) and Taylor Hayes (Hunter Tylo) twice, not to mention countless other characters, only to eventually bring them back to life.

Even Sheila’s biological son Finn (Tanner Novlan) was recently declared dead on the show. And, similar to his birth mother, we all watched him bleed out. He also did a so-called exit interview. But mere months later, viewers learned Finn was still alive and well.

Plus, this isn’t even the first time Sheila has been declared dead. Back in 2007, Young And The Restless’ (Y&R) Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E. Bregman) pumped a bullet into her and she was proclaimed deceased. But in 2017, with no real explanation as to how she was still alive, Sheila showed up in Los Angeles.

Of course, there is the possibility that Sheila really is gone, and for good. Macy may have survived one “death” in 2000, but she didn’t survive the second, when a chandelier fell on her head in 2011. Interestingly enough, she too was romantically linked to Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) at the time of her permanent passing. Coincidence? Perhaps not.

Speaking of Deacon, on this week’s B&B, he’ll be heartbroken and will break down at the morgue, when he sees Sheila’s body. But will the dead woman he’s weeping over have nine or ten toes?

Which brings us to a popular hypothesis making the rounds. Did Sheila trick her doppelganger Sugar into breaking into the cliff house to set Steffy up, thus ruining her relationship with Finn, and possibly landing her in prison?

Finally, there are lots of other theories floating around about Sheila’s death, including the fact that it could all be Steffy or Sheila’s dream. Or maybe the paramedics who pronounced her deceased were planted by the villain herself, so she could fake her death.
