The Young And The Restless (Y&R) has been long overdue for some new couples to shake things up. The following is a list of pairings we would root for in 2024.
5. Victoria Newman And Cole Howard
Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) were married back in 1994. But it only lasted three years. They split up shortly after their daughter Eve was stillborn, or so they thought. Cole eventually left Genoa City in 1999. However, he recently returned, thanks to his evil Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk).
The former couple also learned their daughter wasn’t stillborn. She’s alive and well and has been living under the name Claire Grace (Hayley Erin). It turns out, she was stolen by her aunt and is now a grown adult. Cole told Victoria on last week’s Y&R that he’s sticking around Genoa City, which will hopefully lead to a reunion between these two.

4. Lily Winters And Nick Newman
A Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) coupling has been hinted at over the years. But it never came to fruition. They do have chemistry together and pairing them would accomplish one very important thing – it would keep Nick out of Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) orbit.
Of course, Lily and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) would have to break up first. But this seems inevitable now that Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) has moved to Genoa City. Even Morrow himself has admitted he’d like to see Nick and Lily get together. But will the writers grant him his wish?
3. Audra Charles And Nate Hastings
There’s an undeniable electricity between Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic). They’re both a couple of schemers who play very well off each other. So, it’s surprising that they haven’t hooked up yet.
Now that Nate’s relationship with Victoria is on the rocks, and Audra’s relationship with Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) will likely hit the skids as well, it seems like the perfect time for these two to get together.

2. Phyllis Summers And Tucker McCall
Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) are two peas in a pod, who are both willing to do whatever it takes, not only to get ahead, but to win. There’s a definite spark between these two when they’re in scenes together. But even though Phyllis says she despises him, could her hatred be channeled into lust in the near future?
1. Summer Newman And Chance Chancellor
The Y&R has been teasing Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) as a potential couple for months now. The chemistry is definitely there, and Summer would jump at the chance to be with him. But the Marchetti fashionista has been stuck in the friend zone with Chance, and for good reason.
The former cop is dating Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and they’re happy together. But Sharon just took over a company and works long hours. And she’s had to cancel plans she made with her boyfriend, which has opened the door for Summer. So, if Chance were to figure out Summer’s into him and decide he’d like to pursue a potential relationship, we’d definitely be rooting for them.
