The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop reveals not all couples are destined to be together forever. Some just don’t have much chemistry and others were doomed from the beginning. In some cases, outside forces could tear them apart. The following is a list of couples we think will break up in 2024.
6. Sharon Rosales And Chance Chancellor
Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) are cute together and they’re growing closer every day. But there’s an outside force who could end Shance’s coupling for good and no, it’s not Summer Newman (Allison Lanier).
Summer has admitted to her mom she has feelings for the former cop and gets “dizzy” when she thinks about him. But she’s also said she’s not going to pursue him while he’s with Sharon. Sure, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) has promised not to interfere in her children’s lives. But she wants her daughter to be happy and she’s not exactly Sharon’s biggest fan. So, will Phyllis do something to break up Sharon and Chance?
5. Abby Newman And Devon Winters
Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) and Devon Winters (Bryton James) are currently living happily together in the Chancellor mansion. However, we’re predicting they’ll get into a huge argument next year and one of them will cheat on the other. Perhaps Abby will find herself in Chance’s arms again. Or, Devon will run into Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpi) and one thing will lead to another. But one thing’s for sure, this couple is not going to last until 2025.

4. Nikki Newman And Victor Newman
Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) calling it quits may be a long shot, but hear us out. She’s started drinking again, and she’s already given into temptation twice. Next week, Nikki will guzzle vodka straight from the bottle. Obviously, this is going to cause major tension in her marriage to Victor. She’ll be sneaking around constantly, taking a shot here and there, and heading to bars in her free time.
There’s also the looming threat of Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk), who recently checked into a motel in Genoa City. The villain wants nothing more than to see the Newman family miserable. So, what better way to continue her nefarious agenda than by breaking up Genoa City’s number one super couple?
3. Lily Winters And Daniel Romalotti
Fans of Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) and Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) were thrilled when this couple reunited in 2023. But unfortunately, it’s not going to last much longer. After all, Daniel’s ex-wife Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom) just returned to Genoa City to stay.
Plus, Lily is exiting the canvas to be with her daughter, who’s going through a crisis. It seems rather obvious that Heather, who is clearly interested in getting back with Daniel, will make her move while Lily’s away. But will she succeed in breaking up Daniel and Lily? All signs point to yes!

2. Chelsea Newman And Billy Abbott
Aside from the disturbing fact that Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) raped and then blackmailed Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) years ago, these two are just not well suited to be anything but friends. There’s no real chemistry between the characters, who are about as exciting as watching paint dry when they’re together. So, let’s hope the powers that be will put viewers out of their misery and end this lackluster and offensive pairing in 2024.
1. Diane Jenkins And Jack Abbott
Ever since Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) returned from the dead, it’s been hinted she’s got some kind of secret agenda. So far, nothing about her has surfaced, besides an abusive relationship with the late Jeremy Stark (James Hyde). However, from the moment she came back to town, she unabashedly pursued Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), who fell for it hook, line and sinker.
Let’s face it, Jack has become an insufferable dolt since he hooked up with the schemer and married her, not once, but twice! As far as he’s concerned, Diane can do no wrong. But Jack’s current wife is definitely not the saint he purports her to be. So, Jack may be blissfully happy now, but how long will it be before Diane shows her true colors and their marriage implodes?
