The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Thursday, October 12 reveals Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) will break up with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).
Also coming up, Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will be stunned when Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) calls him Nicholas. Plus Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will be upset with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).
Y&R spoilers tease Adam will spot Nate and Victoria at Society. He’ll tell Nate he’s completed the menial tasks he asked him to do. “Bravo for doing your job,” Victoria will say. But she’ll add that it’s a clear sign he’s up to something. Adam will say his dream is that one day she’ll accept what he says at face value. But Nate smile, and tell Adam so far, so good.

After Adam leaves, Victoria will turn to Nate and say she thought they were on the same page about Adam. Nate will say tolerating Adam isn’t the same as trusting him. “It didn’t seem like that a minute ago,” she’ll reply. “You were praising Adam like you were going to give him a trophy.” But Nate will say they’ll knock him down when he shows his hand. “We have to let him think that we buy his act.” However, Victoria will say that being nice to Adam doesn’t address the bigger issue. “My father.”
But once again Nate will say she knows how he feels about that subject. So, she’ll ask Nate if there’s anything they agree on. “I feel like no one’s on my side.” Nate will tell her he supports her 100 per cent. “Can’t you see that I am just trying to protect you?” But Victoria will say she doesn’t need protecting.
Adam will return to the office to chat with his father and eventually Nate will join him. “And Nicholas, do a good job,” Victor will say to Adam, as they start to leave. He’ll ask his father if he’s making a joke, because he’s falling in line. But Victor will pretend not to know what he’s talking about. “You have a good day Nicholas,” he’ll say, as Adam and Nate leave.
In the hallway, Adam will tell Nate that Victor’s never called him anything but Adam, or son. “He has never called me Nicholas before.” Nate will say it could have just been a slip of the tongue. Nikki will come along and Adam will tell her Victor just called him Nicholas. So, she’ll walk into Victor’s office and mention it. “Yeah, I called him Nicholas, it was intentional.” But Nikki will ask why he’d do such a thing.

In Sally’s suite, she’ll talk to Nick about her company and her plans and Nick will be so distracted he won’t hear anything she says. “I’m sorry, I’m trying to concentrate but I can’t stop thinking about something else.” Of course, he’s thinking about the kiss. Sally will tell him she and Adam are just friends. But Nick will point out from she went from I’m not ready to be in love to falling in love with him in no time flat.
Nick will ask Sally if Adam would be able to push her buttons if there wasn’t some part of her that was still in love with him. “I don’t love Adam, that’s over,” Sally will reply. She’ll say losing Ava bonded her and Adam but sharing that with him doesn’t discount how she feels about Nick. “I am falling in love with you, I wouldn’t lie about that. Can you please believe me?”
However, Nick will say she thinks she’s in love with him because it’s safe. “I can’t go through this again, I don’t want to.” He’ll tell her he can’t be in a relationship where both sides aren’t 100 per cent committed. “I am all in,” she’ll say. But Nick will say every instinct he has is telling him she’s not. “I’ve been fighting this feeling all along that Adam is the one you want to be with.”
Finally, Nick will tell Sally that after she stopped blaming him for Ava, she and Adam have been like two broken pieces that got glued back together.” But Sally will say she chooses him. “Do you?” he’ll ask. “For how long? Are you just delaying the inevitable?” Nick will tell her the kiss tapped into an emotional truth for her. And until she sees it, he can’t be with her.
