Also coming up, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) will call a truce. Plus, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will hire a new assistant. And Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will tell Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) he doesn’t trust him at all.
Y&R spoilers tease Nikki and Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will interview Claire Grace (Hayley Erin) for an assistant position. Nikki will ask why she wants to work at Newman Media. “If I’m going to work in business, why not work for the best?” she’ll answer. Audra and Nikki will ask her more questions. And it’ll seem as though Claire has done her research, so Nikki will offer her the job.
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nate Isn’t Buying Adam’s New Attitude
At the GCAC, Adam will meet with Nate. “You must be in heaven, having this much power over me,” Adam will say. Nate will ask why he’s okay with this arrangement. Adam will say he’s determined to do things differently. “Put me to work Nate, I’m ready.” But Nate will tell Adam he’s not buying his upbeat attitude for a second. In fact, he agrees with Victoria’s position that Victor’s making a mistake.
“I trust you about as much as Victoria does, which is not at all.” Then Nate will tell Adam he’ll only handle menial office tasks. “I will hire another personal assistant out of my own pocket.” But Adam will ask if he’s run it by Victor. Nate will respond that Victor put him in this role as a safeguard against him. And he sees it as a final opportunity to open Victor’s eyes. “That you are incapable of becoming a good, decent man.”
Meanwhile, Victoria will walk into her father’s office and tell him the big chair suits him. She’ll say she’s tired of fighting with him and wants to make peace. “I’m glad to hear that, it’s very surprising though,” Victor will reply. Victoria will say she’s thought long and hard about the arrangement and she’s made a decision about the future. She’s seen the wisdom of his actions and accepts them.
Victoria will point out that he’s returning to unite a fractured work environment, which began with the purchase of Newman Media and continued with the purchase of McCall Unlimited. “There’s only one recurring factor in all of this, it’s Adam,” she’ll add. But Victor will say he’s tired of her scapegoating Adam. “I will no longer discuss Adam with you, with your mother or with Nicholas,” he’ll tell her. “He’s my son – I love him and I have faith in him.”
Young And The Restless Scoop – Victor Would Have Fired Her
So, Victoria will say she’s willing to accept Adam at Newman. “You’re folding too easily,” Victor will reply. “What’s going on?” But Victoria will tell him she’s not being disingenuous. Victor will admit he was worried their business relationship was becoming untenable and he would have fired her. “And if it comes to that point again, I still might,” Victor will add. “Have I made myself clear?”
At the GCAC, Nick will wake up and stare at a sleeping Sally, as she tosses and turns, dreaming about kissing Adam. But it’ll turn into a nightmare when Nick catches them in the act. When she opens her eyes, Nick will say he’s really grateful he got to wake up next to her. “I really missed you,” he’ll say. “I love you Sally, more than I ever thought was possible.”
Sally will be clearly uncomfortable. She’ll tell him he’s really sweet but she doesn’t know what to say. Nick will tell her it might give her the urge to say she loves him too. “Nick, I…” Sally will start and he’ll apologize for putting her on the spot. “Hey, I love you, very much,” she’ll say. She’ll tell him he’s amazing but she hasn’t fallen in love with him. But Nick will say there’s no rush.
Finally, Sally will set up a picnic lunch for her and Nick at the park. And she’ll think back to her nightmare about Nick busting her kissing Adam. But in this vision, she imagines Nick accusing her of not being able to let Adam go. “Sally, is everything okay?” he’ll ask when he arrives. “Adam kissed me,” Sally will reply.
