The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Friday, August 25 reveals a determined Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver) will make her way over to Newman ranch.
Also coming up, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpi) will give Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) sage advice. Plus, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) will struggle. And Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will face off with Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic).
Y&R spoilers tease Mariah and Tessa will tell Elena they just received upsetting news from their pediatrician. Baby Aria has hearing loss. If it’s the outer ear it’s treatable. But if it’s the inner ear it could be permanent. “Try not to drive yourselves crazy,” Elena will advise. “There is a chance that it’s curable.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Nate Tells Him To Just Take The Win
At the ranch, Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) will be shocked to hear that SNA will be folded into Newman Media. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will say it’s been his plan all along. “Who’s going to run it?” she’ll ask but Victor doesn’t know yet. However, he’ll add when their daughter returns from a meeting in LA, there’ll be a whole new dynamic at Newman Media.
At Society, Adam will confront Nate and ask why he met with his family last night. “What was the topic of conversation?” he’ll inquire. “And what the hell are you up to?” Nate will tell him it was a private conversation. Adam will point out Victor now wants to fold SNA into Newman Media and wonder how he figures into it. He’ll also say Nick told him he can’t be trusted. Nate will chuckle. “This is what you and your brother can agree on, me,” he’ll say. “But you couldn’t put together a solid business plan.”
Nate will say he’s COO of Newman Enterprises, so it’s his business to know where things stand. “Victor should have cut you loose but instead he’s giving you the prize – Newman Media on a silver platter, combined with SNA,” Nate will tell him. “Can’t you just take the win?” But Adam will get a text from Nick, asking to meet. So, he’ll tell Nate he doesn’t know what’s going on yet but he will find out.
He’ll return home and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) will show up. He’ll say he’s cautiously optimistic but he doesn’t trust Victor’s motives. “There’s simply too many cooks in this corporate kitchen.” Adam will say he’s hoping to run Newman Media, with her at his side. There’ll be a knock on the door. It’s Nick and Sharon. Sally will tell them Adam offered her a job and Nick will be furious. “You are not in charge!” he’ll remind Adam.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Sharon Disagrees With Adam
“Since Newman Media is the major player in all this, I think it is only natural that I take charge,” Adam will reply. But Nick and Sharon will not agree. Nick will tell him he’s being egotistical. And Sharon thinks all three of them should be co-CEO’s. “Sharon is right,” Nick will say to Adam. “Work with us.”
Meanwhile, Nate will meet with Audra to bring her up to speed. “Am I going to get demoted or are they just going to fire me?” she’ll ask. Nate will say he doubts she’ll be fired. He’ll advise her to stay the course but Audra will say that’s the last thing she’s going to do. She’ll tell Nate she likes her job and is going to fight for it.
So, Audra will make her way over to the ranch. She’ll tell Victor and Nikki she heard a rumor about SNA and Newman Media merging. “I have been an effective leader and I will continue to deliver results,” Audra will say. Nikki will ask how she found out. She’ll tell her Adam confronted Nate and he passed along the information to her. “I’m asking you this with all due respect, am I going to be out of a job?” Victor will tell her however it shakes out, she’ll have a position at Newman.
After she leaves, Nikki will say Audra is as ambitious and driven as Nate. But Victor will say he kind of likes it and could provide mentorship to her. “Yeah, you’ll like it until it becomes a problem,” Nikki will reply. “You will never be able to fully trust Audra, or Nate. They don’t need mentoring, they need a short leash.”
