The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, August 2 reveals Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters) will learn shocking news about Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor).
Also coming up, Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) will invite Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) to join him for a picnic breakfast. Plus, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will lay out her gameplan to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). And Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) will recall a conversation he had with Katherine Chancellor (the late Jeanne Cooper) about his father.
Y&R spoilers tease Devon will look a the portrait of Katherine hanging in the living room. Then he’ll flash back to a conversation he had with his grandmother about her son, and his father. “You have given him another chance, more than one time,” he said to Katherine. “I just have to ask you, how come?” So, Katherine told him she hopes he’s capable of change. “Like it or not, Tucker is family. And you always back up your family.”
Y&R Daily Scoop – Sharon And Chance Share A Smooch
At Jabot, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will walk into the boardroom. She’ll tell Jack and Diane she was at the house earlier and Harrison Locke (Kellen Enriquez) said Kyle was on a trip. “He’s in New York, on business,” Diane will reply. Summer won’t be surprised to learn it’s with Audra Charles (Zuleyka Silver). But Jack will point out Audra’s his boss. “That’s not all she is,” Summer will reply. “They’re sleeping together.” Jack will say she shouldn’t assume that. “No, I’m not assuming, Kyle freely admitted it,” Summer will tell him.
Meanwhile, Chance will show up at Crimson Lights with a picnic basket. He’ll invite Sharon to a breakfast in the park. But he’ll be disappointed when she tells him she has a meeting with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Then Summer will arrive and spot Chance with the basket. “It was supposed to be for two but it didn’t really work out,” he’ll say. “You hungry?” So, they’ll take the breakfast to the park.
Summer will tell him she learned Kyle’s in New York with Audra. And Chance will ask her what she’d do if Kyle showed up right then and said he forgave her. “I don’t think that we could get back to where we were, too much has changed,” she’ll reply. Chance will tell her that’s a great first step, admitting it’s over. They’ll start discussing their childhoods and Sharon will show up. She’ll say she pushed her meeting back. “But I see that Summer has taken my place.”
An embarrassed Summer will say she has to get going. When Sharon is kind enough to encourage her to stay, Summer will thank her and take her leave. But she’ll look back enviously at the couple, as they sit down together. Later, Sharon and Chance will enjoy their picnic and share a smooch.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Use It To Their Advantage
At the GCAC, Billy will arrive, to meet with Ashley. “Billy I’m at my wit’s end,” she’ll tell him. She believes that unless Jack sees Diane for who she really is, Jabot will fail. Billy will ask what her plans are. Ashley will point out he has the inside track. “You can fix everything,” she’ll say, explaining she wants him to push Diane’s buttons. If it all works out he’ll be a hero.
Back at Jabot, Diane will ask Jack what Kyle is thinking. But Jack will say he thinks Kyle is using his relationship with Audra as an escape. Then Summer will return and she’ll tell them she’s starting to accept that its over between her and Kyle. “There’s no going back to what we had,” she’ll say. “And if he can move on, so can I.”
Finally, Billy will arrive to snitch on Ashley. “The master plan is to allow Diane to damage Jabot,” he’ll tell Jack and Diane. His role is to let it happen. “Enough for Ashley and Tucker to come in and rake the assets and the employees.” Then Diane will realize it’s all about her. “Ashley has hated me since the first time I set foot in this building decades ago,” she’ll say. “She and Tucker trust Billy enough to include him in their plans. We just need to figure out how to use that to our advantage.”
