The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Tuesday, August 1 reveals Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway) has had enough of her mother’s vendetta against her uncle.
Also coming up, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will confide in Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). Plus, Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will ask Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) to stand up for him. And Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) will figure out what Tucker has on Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) .
Y&R spoilers tease Phyllis will arrive at Adam’s door with a housewarming gift. She’ll ask how Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) reacted when Adam mentioned she might be working with them. “Was he okay with it, or was it like a grenade blowing up in his face?” He’ll say once Nick and Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) considered it, they were on board.

However, Adam will ask Phyllis why she’s really there and she’ll say she needs him to take down Tucker. “I have to hand it to you Phyllis,” he’ll reply. “When it comes to laying waste to your enemies you are in a class by yourself.” But he needs to know why. “Can you just trust that I know what I’m doing?” she’ll respond. Then she’ll offer to work for him for free for six months and Adam will realize how desperate she is. So, he’ll figure out Tucker paid off the EMT, and that’s the hold he has on her. Phyllis will ask Adam if he’s going to help her. “I have to think about it,” he’ll reply.
At Crimson Lights, Chance will tell Summer she can trust him, so she’ll open up. “I don’t think my mom is being completely honest with me and Daniel,” she’ll admit. Plus, she’s worried that Christine Blair (Lauralee Bell) is going to hit her with conspiracy charges and she could end up in jail herself.
But Chance will say he thinks he can convince Christine to leave Summer alone. “You were trying to protect your mother, it’s human nature.” Talk will turn to Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor), and Chance will say he understands exactly what she’s going through because he’s been there. “You just take it one day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time,” he’ll advise.
Meanwhile, Abby wants to plan her mother’s wedding, but Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) will be distracted. Abby will remind her mom there’s nothing she can do about Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) marrying Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). “When will this war end, mom?” Abby will ask. Then she’ll ask Ashley how leaving Jabot made any sense. “I couldn’t stay there while Jack let Diane burn Jabot to the ground,” Ashley will reply.

Then Abby will take her mother aside and Tucker will tell Devon he has a question for him. And he’ll ask Devon if he would do him the honor of being his best man. Devon will tell him he believes the love he has for Ashley is the real deal. “So let’s do this.”
Finally, Abby will start talking wedding details, but Ashley won’t be listening. Abby will be annoyed to learn her mother hasn’t even set a date yet. “I’m starting to think that you marrying Tucker is the exact same thing you’re accusing Uncle Jack of – a way to get back at your enemies,” she’ll say.
But Ashley will be offended that she’d compare her wedding to Jack and Diane’s sham of a marriage. “Really? Because Uncle Jack and Diane, they seem in love,” Abby will reply. “And I highly doubt they are spending their evening thinking about ways to bring you down.” “Don’t bet on it,” Ashley will reply. However, Abby will tell her mother if this is just another way for her to take down Jack, she can hold the wedding somewhere else. “I want no part of it.”
