The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Monday, July 10 reveals Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) is ready to come out of hiding.
Also coming up, Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) will admit she’s spinning out. Plus, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) will discuss Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters). And Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) can’t understand why no one is happy for him.
Y&R spoilers tease Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) will tell Summer Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) isn’t ready to take on the position. He’ll suggest she go to Italy to look for a new creative director and Summer will take offence. “Kyle wants me gone, maybe you’re doing a whole united front thing and freezing me out,” she’ll reply angrily. “It’s not like I’m family anymore.” But Billy will say he’s not trying to banish her.

Then Jack will walk in and he and Billy will discuss Ashley’s departure. Billy will say they need a secret weapon and he’ll suggest that whatever Ashley does, they do bigger and better. When Jack says he’s glad one of them is able to think strategically, Billy will tell him he can’t take this personally. “That’s exactly what it is though!” Jack will exclaim. Diane will arrive and when Billy leaves, Jack will bemoan the fact that no one in town is happy for them.
Meanwhile, Ashley will talk to Tucker about Diane. She’ll say they tried their best to get rid of her, but it didn’t work. Tucker will tell Ashley her approach was too polished and she needed to get dirty. “Actually, there’s only one person who could finish this off once and for all,” Ashley will reply. “Phyllis.”
Speaking of Phyllis, Michael Baldwin (Christian LeBlanc) will sit on a bench at Chancellor Park and a disguised Phyllis will show up. She’ll tell him she was going stir crazy. But Michael will advise her to stay hidden until she comes to her senses. She’ll tell Michael she learned that Summer and Kyle have separated. But she can’t do anything about it, hiding under a rock.
Michael will look at his watch and say he’s about to meet with her kids. So, Phyllis will sit by herself in the park. She’ll close her eyes and try to relax. “Phyllis!” she’ll hear Diane shout. “I was dragged away from your phony memorial so fast, I didn’t even have time to say goodbye to Jack and Kyle!” Then Diane will remind Phyllis of what a trainwreck she caused, especially for Summer. But Phyllis will say she’ll make amends to her children. And Diane will tell her she won’t make amends to them, or to Jack.
Young And The Restless Scoop – Tucker Eavesdrops On Them
“Somebody will open Jack’s eyes to how dangerous you are, I just wasn’t able to do it,” Phyllis will reply. Then she’ll open her own eyes and she’ll be sitting on the bench alone. Feeling defeated, she’ll compose an email, apologizing for everything and admitting that Diane won. But she’ll suddenly snap out of it and delete it. “Diane won? Oh, hell no! No more hiding, this is done,” she’ll say to herself. “Ready or not, here I come guys. And this time, I’m going to finish what I started.”
At the GCAC, Summer will tell Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) that Michael wants to meet with them. Summer will say she’s worried, because she could be facing charges too. Daniel will remind her she put herself in that position. But she’ll tell him he wasn’t there for her and he never is. “I have risked it all for mom,” Summer will say. “I’m the one who’s paying the price for her death. You wonder why I’m spinning out?”
Finally, Michael will arrive and he’ll tell Summer and Daniel that Phyllis may be getting ready to turn herself in. But he still hasn’t found Carson, the EMT. “This is mom we are talking about, we have to fight for her,” Summer will say. “Like she would for any of us. We will find Carson, somehow – we have to.” But they won’t realize that Tucker is listening in on their entire conversation.
