Later, Nick will tell her he still thinks it’s a bad idea. “The thought of seeing him again makes me sick to my stomach,” Sharon will reply. “But our baby doesn’t have time.” There’ll be a knock on the door and it’s Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd). He’ll tell Sharon and Nick he found the deed to an abandoned garage on the outskirts of town. He’s going to take a team there. “You two stay put, do not go to that motel, it’s too dangerous,” he’ll say. But they’ll decide to go the motel nonetheless. Diane will tell Summer she’s naïve if she thinks her mother is innocent in all this. “My mom didn’t do any of this on her own, she was coerced, threatened and blackmailed into what she did.” But Diane will be aghast. “Is that what Phyllis is telling you?” she’ll ask Summer. However, Summer will point out that maybe she didn’t commit murder. “But you’re not innocent. And I’m not going to ever let myself think that.”
