The Young And The Restless (Y&R) scoop for Wednesday, January 25 suggests an episode dedicated to Lauren Fenmore (Tracey E Bregman), marking her 40th anniversary with the sudser.

Y&R spoilers tease Lauren’s friends and family will gather for a celebration. She’s about to receive a lifetime achievement award for leadership in fashion. Lauren will walk into the Grand Phoenix lobby and will be joined by her husband Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc). Then Gloria Bardwell (Judith Chapman), Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) and Chloe Mitchell will arrive.

Michael and Lauren will be thrilled when Fen Baldwin (Zach Tinker) appears and introduces them to his new boyfriend Trey (Julian Larach). Fen will say he’s a buyer for Fenmores in Nashville. Trey is fascinated by Lauren and wants to know everything about her. So, Lauren will tell her life story and viewers will be treated to Y&R flashbacks from the past four decades.

Lauren will start by talking about her parents and there’ll be a flashback scene with her mother, Joanna Manning (Susan Seaforth Hayes). Then she’ll talk about singing with Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and there’ll be another flashback. “Danny was much nicer than I was.” Lauren will say. When she found out she had a rival in Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland), her mean girl side came out.

Then Lauren will flashback to how she met her first husband Paul Williams (Doug Davidson). He nabbed her for stealing a sweater. Plus, she’ll discuss his mother Mary Williams’ (the late Carolyn Conwell) interference in their relationship. “Why did it end with you and Paul?” Gloria will ask. Lauren will say it was a fan of hers, Shawn Garrett (Grant Kramer). He became obsessed with her. “He said he would kill Paul if I didn’t divorce him, so I did.” She pretended to have feelings for Shawn, but when he found out how she really felt, he buried her alive. But Paul rescued her. “Paul was my hero.”

She’ll then tell Trey about her second husband Scott Grainger (Peter Barton) and Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) getting her hooks into him. “I thought I could handle anyone or anything, no matter how crazy, and then I met Sheila,” Lauren will say. “Little did I know that I was looking in the face of pure evil.” Not only were she and Sheila pregnant with Scott’s baby at the same time, and Lauren thought she lost her son. But Sheila had switched her stillborn child with Lauren’s.

It began decades of torture for Lauren. Sheila just kept showing up. “Even now, when I’ve been assured she was dead, I don’t really believe it,” Lauren will say. “But if that bitch decides to resurrect and she comes near me or anyone that I love, she will wish she’d stayed dead.”

However, Lauren will also recall finding out she had a half-sister, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton). “I was not so gracious, the last thing I wanted to do was welcome Jill into my family,” Lauren will admit. “We still drive each other up the wall but we get along, most of the time.”

Finally, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) will arrive and she’ll talk about what a special relationship Lauren and Michael have. Viewers will be treated to flashbacks of the couple’s good and bad times. “My wife is the bravest, fiercest human being that I have ever met,” Michael will tell everyone there. “And I am all the stronger for it.”
