The Bold And The Beautiful (B&B) scoop reveals Rena Sofer (Quinn Forrester) is leaving the sudser. Her last air date will be August 29.
The actress announced the news on her Twitter account today, after speculation grew when she posted an ominous photo on Instagram yesterday, with a caption that read “more to come.”
“Friday August 5 was my last day playing Quinn on @BandB_CBS it’s been an incredible 9!” Sofer announced.
B&B News – Fans React To Sofer’s Surprising Departure
Sofer took on the role of Quinn in 2013 and fans saw her take to the character like a fish to water. Shortly after Quinn was introduced, it was revealed she had a son with Bill Spencer (Don Diamont). During her tenure on B&B, she married Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan), kidnapped Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) and eventually married Eric Forrester (John McCook).

But last year, Eric lost trust in his wife and began having performance issues. So, she turned to Carter Walton (Lawrence Saint Victor) for comfort and the pair began a torrid affair. When she reunited with Eric, fans hoped she and Carter would eventually find their way back to each other and they did, just last month.
B&B fans are sad to see her go. “Besides losing Rena Sofer (which is painful on its own), #BoldandBeautiful is now becoming even more male/female lopsided with increasingly more men than women on contract,” one fan commented on Twitter.
